Special effects are very good, easily better than T1 and as good a T2. It was something I thought I would be a big flop, but it's a great series.

Great deal!

Just got this off Amazon Marketplace yesterday brand new for £15 inc delivery and I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Was a bit apprehensive when I 1st heard about it, but I saw a lot of cool advertising for the show when I was in LA last December and thought I'd give it a go. Glad I did cos its actually miles better than the 3rd film (wouldn't be hard).

The 2nd season is shaping to be just as good and has just got the go ahead from Fox to run for 22 episodes.

Bring on Terminator: Salvation next year too :w00t:

Thanks, just ordered from the marketplace as it's more convenient.

Got mine from Select Cheaper a while back at a cheaper price. Definitely get this rather than the dvd. Most of this extras available on the blu ray have been stripped from the regular release.
#14
Anyone confirmed if this is instore yet?

Nice, I might just make this my first Blue ray purchase!

I was actually going to post the Selectcheaper deal as my original post, BUT I had a bad experience with them previously so decided to stick with Asda's.

Good price though Buzby22 !!!

I thought the TV show was a different timeline to the movies?

Show fits in between T2 and T3, apparently.
#20
It does but there is plenty of reference to the future...

Nah, it completely disregards everything that happened (or could happen) in T3. Also the new films will have nothing to do with this series. Not that I'm knocking this show, I think it's great. But you have to accept that it's more of a spin off than part of the movie universe. I know that sounds a bit of contradiction when it still involves all the main characters, but that's time travel for you!

That's about right - T3 is kicked into touch completely (and quite right too, as it's gash) but the TV series is actually a far better continuation of the story from T1 & T2 anyway I think.

The new film is set in the future apparently, where the war is just kicking off and looks pretty good from the trailer.

Bit of a fanboy in case you couldn't tell! :-D

Summer Glau is pretty hot for a killing machine.

Ooooh - Summer Glau anytime.

Sarah Connor chronicles is terrific! Season 2 is even better! Well worth getting this boxset because watching it on Virgin annoyed me a bit because audio was low level and doesn't work well when you Sky+ it! I have to Sky+ it to rewatch some parts to listen again to certain dialog (due to no subtitles) and to look again at background detail (very good attention to detail) - and to rewatch the special FX because they're such a treat.

If you saw the Preview Program to Season 2 then there should be plenty of Extras on the Bluray discs with behind the scenes look and interviews.

After you've seen this, then you'll want to watch Season 2 on Virgin. After maybe 4 - 6 weeks they might do a re-run of the season so far - back to back episodes in 1 day as they did for Season 1.

i agree with some other posters, it is a great series as long as you take it for what it is. if you start to think about the movies and this show then you will get confused and you wont appreciate the show as much.
cant wait for the new film, christian bale should be great in it and i heard he has already signed up for 2 more movies after terminator:salvation.

Are there any websites that review UK (PAL) and US versions side by side, so that you can see who is getting the best deal in regards to extras etc...?

The below are excellent wikis/forums too:--

From what is said and what can be found as the contents of the US and UK Bluray discs, the UK version is the one to have.
