Sarah Silverman says what's on her mind. And no one else's.

In this first season of the critically acclaimed The Sarah Silverman Program, Sarah gets hepped up on cough syrup, takes in a homeless man and poops her pants. With her unique perspective on life and her ability to turn just about everything into a song, find out why Sarah Silverman is an American treasure. An offensive, filthy-mouthed treasure.

Superbly funny show, the episode where they intensly stare at each other as the door closes is so funny! i think its the one where they get stone to have good ideas.

Most unfunny 'comedian' ever!
#7
So Mr Pope... you're always talking about living humbly, and I totally agree... so maybe it's time to move out of your house which is also a CITY.

This

Watching her die at the secret policemans ball a couple of years ago was painful.

Don't find her funny, neither did her audience at one of her live gigs.

In October 2008, Silverman visited the United Kingdom to promote the release of The Sarah Silverman Program on Paramount Comedy, but her media and stage performances failed to impress audiences. Her debut stand-up performance at the Hammersmith Apollo was widely panned by the critics and audiences alike. The performance bombed when Silverman's warm-up act failed to appear and Silverman rushed through a short 35-40 minute set. The heckling audience, who had been charged £40-50 a seat, refused to leave the theatre and Silverman, sporting a pair of after-show slippers, was forced to return to the stage for an impromptu question and answer session. Steve Bennett from comedy website Chortle declared that "minute for minute, there are sex phonelines that are cheaper than Sarah Silverman."

Well at least her TV show in the deal is quite funny, and luckily there are no 'live performance' extras....HOT!!
#11
I think her show is really really funny!!!
#12
She's so bad live, it's embarrassing. This show though is utter genius. And she's hot.
#13
well i like it

I remember seeing this and she was just awful. if I remember rightly, the audience started talking amongst themselves after a few minutes! She just can't do stand up, as an actress she is ok, she should just stick to that.

Saying that, this is worth a go for that price!
#15
So she's not much cop live, this isn't a live show :)

Seems damn cheap for 2 hours of comedy (I'm guessing, is it six half hours?), at least when it's not something easy to get hold of.

She's an acquired taste but I think she's good in sketch stuff.

EDIT: turns out it seems to be a sitcom, not a sketch show, might well be worth a dabble for £4 tho.
#16
so its a sit-com with loads of canned laff's, shame she couldn't get the cans opened live on stage...:whistling:
#17
About £4 over-priced.
#18
The Aids test episode was priceless!!
#19
Very silly show. In a good way.
#20
I wonder if she has been given a TV show and airtime because she's pretty sexy? I don't think she's particularly funny.

Amazed at the people who are slagging this show off and have never even seen it
#23
I would.
#24
The only reason the show is funny is because it's written by many of the best up and coming young comedians and writers in California. She's just acting it out. It's a good deal though
#25
I've seen 2 episodes of this, and I wanted to claw my brain out through my nose both times. Sooooo not funny.
#26
Still available... why is this expired?

Perhaps someone who fancies themselves a bit of a comedian has taken it upon themselves to expire it for no other reason than they don't appreciate this particular brand of comedy?

Some people seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that this site is for letting everyone know whether or not they like a particular product or service.

To all the sad humourless people knocking her live shows: Could you be a little more off topic? This deal is/was for her TV program. There's a clue in the title!

Perhaps you should go away and shove your heads back up your overtly sensitive politically correct rectums.

And finally, the recording of her live show "Jesus is Magic" is absolutely hilarious.
Absolutely hilarious.

I saw it when it was on Paramount, it was horrible.

I like her, her Aristocrats joke was the best version in that film. I didn't like this series though. Hot price though.

I wanted to like it but was gutted at how unfunny I found it.

I love this show though. One of my favourite TV shows ever. To the point that I took the Cookie Party logo and made my own t-shirt!

Who is she married / shacked up with? Is that the reason, I also don't know and can't be bothered to check.....

Overated and excrutiatingly unfunny. The addage that jewish women make good comedians does not apply here. People may rave about her back in the states but there are countless funnier British and Irish comedians. Anyone who thinks this is funny needs to watch Big Train

According to you.

Newsflash: people are entitled to find different stuff funny.

By the way, I personally think Big Train is sh!t. So sue me.

When you order things through Tesco entertainment do you ever receive email confirmations from them? I have 2 orders with them yet I have heard nothing from them and strangely it is not showing up in my order history, well I think one did but it disappeared.
