Region 1 version preorder available (08/08/07), a full month before the Region 2 release on 09/09/07 for two thirds of the price.

Obviously a multiregion dvd player and a tv capable of NTSC playback is necessary (who doesnt these days?), but it has to be noted along with Futurama there have been criticisms of the PAL releases having NTSC to PAL conversion artefacts.

Barts head version also available at the same price.

Look in the vouchers section of here to get it even cheaper!

Ok guys, don't know why this hasn't more heat, last chance today to preorder the region 1 version of Season 10 of The Simpsons for 2/3rds the price that you will be able to buy it for on its UK launch in a months time.

Get it quicker and 2/3rds the price, its a no brainer really.

I used one of the links in vouchers section to automatically knock a quid off the price and then used a cdwow voucher I had for £1 so I am expecting despatch on this tomorrow for just £18.49

This applies to both the regular and limited edition Bart Head version.

Most people don't have region free dvd players I know I don't hense not loads of heat.
#3
Plus it means using CD-Wow, and they're not exactly popular at the moment.
suspended#4
I have ordered one!

Love the simpsons and a month early and a tenner cheaper sounds good to me.

Don't know why CD-Wow are not popular right now? Never had any problems with them myself on previous orders. I thought most people would have multiregion dvd players? A quick search on google and most can be updated to be multiregion either by firmware updates or simple remote control key hacks.
#6
I downloaded it all over the weekend anyway, haha.
#7
my son has all the other seasons but there region 2 so I'd rather wait and get region 2 its only £25.95 at blah dvd

Voted Cold, Cd-Wow has gone into administration last i heard.
#9
Plus about a month after they're released they go down to £19.99 at most of the dvd online retailers.
#10
Still fail to see how this can be a cold deal, if CD Wow are in administration, how come they are still trading? never had any problems ordering through them.

As for a month after release they go down to £19.99 in most retailers, well if you want to wait yet another month after its released in the UK fine, but remember that the region 1 releases of The Simpsons DVDs are actually encoded better than the region 2 releases, no NTSC to PAL artefacts in transfer, this has been reported on several previous PAL vs NTSC Simpsons boxsets as well as Futurama boxsets.

To me getting it better quality than the PAL releases a month before UK release and for £18.49 after using voucher links does not make this a cold deal, but suit yourselves.

You may want to look up the definition of administration...

Because not many people want to vote it hot.

Why give money to a company in receivership?

Actually reports are suggesting that CD Wow have gone into RECEIVERSHIP, this is not good news.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pocketli/20070802/ttc-cd-wow-goes-into-receivership-offere-57dbc65.html

This is all thanks to them importing CDs and DVDs from sources like Hong Kong, where the record and film companies sell them at a fraction of the UK cost, and sell them in the UK. The company was recently fined £41 MILLION for this practice.

So fair trade doesnt exist no decent sourcing left for region 1 encoded dvds where usually prices are some 20% cheaper at least and in general offer better quality picture & extras.

So you also need a TV that is okay with NTSC pictures too, then?
#15
You can get it (albeit a month later) for £25.95 through blahdvd and then go through Quidco and get 5% off that too.

Also, you can get the Bart's Head Edition for £27.70 and 101cd.com and get 8% Quidco too.

Swings and roundabouts I guess!

I wouldnt want to give money to a company in financial trouble - sorry, had to vote cold.
