Possibly Vic and Bob's finest hour, The Smell Of Reeves And Mortimer displays the madcap duo at their most surreal, anarchic best with characters such as the bra-wearing men Pat Wright and Dave Arrowsmith; awful folk duo Mulligan and O'Hare and flatulent farceurs the Petomanes.

Among the many other highlights were occasional visits from Slade, the 1970's glam-rock group, brilliantly imitated by Reeves, Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse and Mark Williams, plus hosts of other guests including Little Britain's Matt Lucas, Caroline Aherne, Charlie Higson and Sting.

Bought this a while back. Some real stinkers in it too. Good price though.

It's a great pity that these are the cut-down broadcast versions of the show, rather than the far-superior extended versions they released on VHS. No extras either, shame on you BBC!

It's an old deal that's been posted already - I bought it at this price (as well as Bang bang Reeves and Mortimer) last year after seeing the deals here.

It broke my heart when half the Lovejoy sketch was missing, among many other things :(

Hi John

A great deal of members haven't been on HUKD as long as you have. And reposts are fine after one month.

Umm...you don't have to been here for several years to have seen a deal in 2008(!), the deals are even the second and third result on the search page. While it's tedious enough having the entire Play/HMV cheap DVD range posted as separate deals for no particular reason it's getting beyond a joke if this is now going to happen monthly.

Hi John

There is already a thread which discusses in great depth the posting of DVD's/CD's on HUKD here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/366761/can-we-ban-dvd-cds-from-the-front-p/showthread.php?t=366761
Having checked it I see that you are a regular visitor to this particular thread.
So please. Have another read through that thread in feedback, where I explain why deals are posted on HUKD. Be they CD's/DVD's or whatever. If you wish to leave further comments on the posting of CD's/DVD's please do so, but within the feedback, rather than heading off topic in deals. The majority of people like to see bargain CD's and DVD's.
The rules state "Any thread over one month old would be fair enough to receive a repost if there is a price drop or not, as this allows newer members to receive notification of that deal. With site membership increasing as fast as it is, that would become more significant for new users, as it would be unlikely for them to easily stumble across a month old thread.”
So, in this instance a repost is most acceptable. I hope that clears up any doubts.

Regards Andy
