just a quick note, these £9.50 holidays arent as cheap as they first may seem,
my family are going away this weekend on one of these holidays. 4 of us, 2 adults and a 7 and 5 yr old. in total the holiday has cost us just over £100 for 3 nights stay.
park tickets, linen, electricity and gas arent included in the 9.50 price!
and its a very basic caraven too!
be warned!

I went on one of these holidays last year and did not cost this much, had to pay for gas only but even £100 in july/august is damn cheap.good post

We went on one of these once and they cost a lot more than £9.50 . Plus when we got there the caravan was very poor and we had to pay more again for a upgrade.

agree 100 for 3 nights in july/august is still fairly cheap, but these are advertised as £9.50 holidays, whereas the true cost per person is around 20-30. clever advertising.

Can't believe the negative comments on here! They are cheap and chearful holidays in a caravan, they don't pretend to be anything else. Weve been on about 6 of these holidays, 3 caravans were absolutely brilliant and 3 were standard, but for 80 odd quid for 3 nights, which means we took our own linen bargain hunters, it is a great holiday especially for young children. We went to presthaven sands using these vouchers in the june school holidays mon - fri 2 adults and 2 kids for £103, brilliant.

anybody who pays more than 9.50 only has themselves to blame.there are sites that do only cost 9.50.all the extra costs are listed on the site information.we have been on 2 sun holidays both to parks with free entertainment passes and electricity.if you dont do your homework it is your own fault.the caravans on both occasions while not top of the range were tidy and well laid out.

we have had several great holidays on very good parks with the sun - yes you have to pay entertainment passes/electricity, it is still cheap and cheerfull, great parks especially if you have kids.

you wouldnt get them cheaper especially in the summer

please don't diss these holidays. they are great and my clan wouldn't get a holiday if it wasn't for these deals.

I've just returned (yesterday) from one of these hols.

Yes the basic price was £9.50p, but by the time you paid for the entertainment passes (which you had to if you wanted to use ANY of the park's facilities - i.e. bar/restaurant/swimming pool/arcade), the "service" charge, the "peak" charge and the linen hire (sorry, 4 people in a little Ford Focus won't allow any room for taking our own linen) - it came to £185 for 3 nights self-catering!

I have to say - I'd never book again!! Accommodation was shockingly poor - looked like it had seen better days 20 years ago (and this was in their top of the range accommodation), no lighting so when you're walking back from the entertainment at night (no, not bladdered before you all start!!) you can't see where you're going, pathways broken and uneven, etc...

We'd have been much better off booking a B&B for 3 nights! It would have worked out the same and at least we would have had breakfast included. Disappointing. But - you get what you pay for...

I just come back from my £9.50 holiday last weekend I went for 3 nights upgraded my caravan for 2 adults 3 children was £150 with electric, linen, gas, fridge, cooker, tv, entertainment passes, at Hopton Park, Norfolk. very nice and clean and right on the beach one of the best parks ive been to in England. Loads to do on and off the park.

Hi Trogglescow what park did you go to?
#19
Last year we went to Pontins Camber Sands not the best but better than Butlins Bognor it wasnt nice we didnt upgrade and the room was awfull my daughter was just toddling and her feet were black from the carpeted floor.

At Camber Sands you have not got much to do off the park but has an amazing beach just across the road.
