Great stocking filler

The Very Hungry Caterpillar [Board Book] (Board book) by Eric Carle £2.98 delivered at Amazon

A much-loved classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has won over millions of readers with its vivid and colourful collage illustrations and its deceptively simply, hopeful story. With its die-cut pages and finger-sized holes to explore, this is a richly satisfying book for children.

Great book for the kids.

There is also a good deal on it at the Book People. The large sized version (Basically A4 on its side), including an audio CD (full version and read along version both on CD). Not a board book though. That's £3.99 and I think there is a free delivery code around for the Book People as well:

Is there a better book for children of 12-18 months? I must read it loads to my older boy, and now my 14 month old asks for it nearly every night. I can recite this one blindfold!

In answer to you question for other books. I currently read Dear Zoo to my boy. He loves this one as he can interact and lift the flaps. A very easy small board book.

Also I read this book. Goodnight Moon...another classic which he loves too.
