One of the greatest films of the seventies, a pure enjoyment ride from start to finish. The Warriors are one of the many street gangs in New York, all the gangs are called together to a huge meeting to try and create unity. When a rival gang leader is killed, The Warriors wrongly get the blame, everyone's after them as they attempt to get back across New York city to the safety of their home patch, Coney Island. Along the way the Warriors have to take on the other gangs in some of the most over the top and violent fights in cinema, watch out for the toilet fight. All the gangs have their own look, the Warriors all wear red waistcoats and look very cool but the most stylish gang has to be the Baseball Furies, all decked out in their baseball gear, with painted faces. Director Walter Hill made a timeless classic that's still exciting and stylish over 20 years later. "Can You Dig It!".

Saw this as a kid and thought it was a top film, thought I'd watch it again a couple of years ago... shame as it ruined the memory! some things are best left in the past.

Voted hot though as its a good price

I still love the movie but the directors cut is a thousand times worse than anything lucas has done.

It's a great price but this "revised" version is horrible. The end of every scene and the beginning of the next one have been turned into a comic-book look (I'm no kidding). The ending was also turned into that style, ruining for me the whole film. I'm glad I still have the first DVD that came out. The Warriors should be untouched.
These directors can't leave any masterpiece alone these days.

Hey whats the difference between the directors cut and normal edition; Storyline wise?

none that i know of

The campest film about fighting I have ever seen. If you can look past the embarrasing baseball bat fight in the park (its on par with zulu in the 'half arsed and poorly choreographed' stakes) then you may enjoy this, but it is a massively over rated film so don't expect a masterpiece.
