No, it is this film, and I do like Edward Woodward, just felt sorry for him doing such a rubbish film.

One of the very best films of all-time. A work of genius from start to finish. The fact you hate it makes you a fool.

A true fool.

Poor you.

Poor,poor you.

IMO it was an OK film. Wasnt the greatest thing Ive ever seen, and not the worst. Worth £3.09, but I probably wouldnt pay more.

This gets 7.8/10 rating on imdb.com against 3.6/10 for the 2006 version

I guess there are people out there that think Citizen Kane's rubbish as well LOL
Maybe not enough car chases or explosions?

For me one of the best british Horrors ever...even the singing bits!!!
This film is seen as Edward Woodwards defining role so I think he's pretty pleased hes in it!!!

5 posts fresh and you have the gall to say that?

Even Christopher Lee states that TWM is his best film. Truly an outstanding film and I defy anyone to give reasonable cause against it, rather than just "it's crap".

Probably one of the best films ever made, and although the Cage version is pretty bad and even seems badly acted - its worth watching as a comparison. Almost as thought provoking as The Prisoner from the 1960s.

It was also what prompted my avatar here - well - its similar!

I have been to most of the locations, most being shot in south west Scotland - with the exception of where his seaplane lands - which is Plockton in the Highlands - although once on land its the harbour in Kirkudbright he walks up from.

The palm trees in the film are all real - benefiting from the Gulf Stream warmed Scottish coast (I can see hundreds of palm trees from my window) - the only fake plants were the blossoms added to the trees as it ran out of money being planned for spring - but was eventually shot in autumn.

Here is a good site for anyone interested in the locations and details about the film.

You could just watch it on ITV4 at least every 4 weeks instead of buying it. I love this film but i've seen it 9 times in the past 6 months

From this picture of the wicker man - you do not have to look hard to see he was very very happy about being set alight.

Now although we never looked hard - he does!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

The nude scenes from the rear were actually a girl from Castle Douglas, who was probably not impressed when when Ekland described her stand in as "some hooker from Glasgow".

Clearly you go care - or would not have posted your reply.
