I think that this is the older set that has recently been re-packaged, so it may be that stocks are in short supply and once its gone its gone! Says dispatched within 72 hours which sounds more promising than the 2-4 weeks quoted on the similarly priced Hut, Lovefilm etc so may be worth a pop!

Don't forget 5% Quidco too.

Will Hay is one of the greatest British comedians of all time and his misanthropic antics have inspired many great funny men. A major star of the 1930s, he relished playing pompous, incompetent authority figures.

Oh, Mr Porter!

Worth the money alone for Oh Mr Porter! and Good Morning Boys.

My kids (13, 11 and 9) don't get Will Hay - I'm sure they can't be mine ...

The new edition is only £17.99 from HMV. I prefer the smaller size of that.

I love Will Hay and bought this a few months ago. However, it has sort of confirmed my suspicions that he did in fact just make a few good films, one of which isn't even in this collection - which is Where's The Fire.

Plus you get 4% Quidco at Zavvi! I was going to post that at first instead of Sendit until I saw the 2-4 weeks delivery, which basically said to me no chance of getting it! I've ordered stuff from Sendit before that I couldn't find elsewhere for the same price with 5-7 days dispatch and thought I have no chance, but they have sourced it for me in the end. I thought you at least had a better chance with 72 hours dispatch. Thanks for the pointer anyway, it may work for some!

Shame there is no comprehensive box set (that I'm aware of)
The Ghost of St Michaels
Wheres that Fire (Hard to find)
and
My Learned Friend (One of my favs)
are three other Will Hay classics worth buying
Still this is very good value.

more than an inch surely?

9 x dvds in amarays versus 9 dvds in a digipak:?

5 inches versus 1 and a half by my reckoning.

Size matters!!!

Thanks Prof.

My elderly father, who now has Alzheimer's was a great fan of Will Hay

These should make the evenings a little bit of fun for him and I

Great spot

I don't know how to make this find hot, or at least help it on it's way .... maybe somebody will advise me.

Cheers !!

Definately a great price for a very overlooked British Comedian. As said before it's a shame you cannot get a definative box set with all his films on. Even worse one film (Not in this set), "The Goose Steps Out" is not even the full film, it is a version taken from a print with the best bits taken out (They were used in a comedy compilation program!!)
Look out for a new book on Will Hay in May, published by Tomahawk press!!

Now says available on order - I hope I'm wrong but I fear that means you won't get this as this is the discontinued set and probably not in stock at the suppliers any longer. I ordered when it said dispatched within 72 hours and I'm crossing my fingers I will get it! The re-packaged set is available as previously mentioned with the same films but not at this price (£17.99 cheapest).
#29
Aha!

My smaller sized one will be the only thing getting a laugh then:p

Mine says awaiting stock pick so I'm not cancelling as its not worth the risk of losing it. As I said before this is the old packaged set thats discontinued so you may not get it if you cancel and put an order in now. The status is 'available on order' so it might turn out their suppliers have no more and won't be getting any. I hope not! Still worth a shot if you haven't already ordered though, especially with the 10% voucher
