Two words, - Only Wonderful.

£49.99 is the cheapest right now, but I think most people here are waiting for HMV to redo their £39.99 price.
#3
TV show that has to be owned.
#4
Is there ever going to be re-runs on TV?
#5
One of the best TV shows ever made!
#6
I got it from HMV for £50 in-store 2 weeks ago (was surprised they still had stock). Great show and a good deal.

No one has ever been prosecuted in the UK for watching a streaming video....the copyright owners go after the host site or bootleggers who download and copy to sell on for a profit.

But if you are that worried about it, I suggest you don't use youtube.

Awesome to watch in low res with terrible sound. Really enhances the experience.

Suggest you find some better sites then...It was clear with good sound when I watched it online.

You can barely stream good quality video with 5.1 across wifi (using all the available bandwidth) never mind across the internet. "Good quality" doesn't mean "isn't really crap", it means, looks good on a 50" TV and have 5.1.

Omar! Omar! Omar walking yo!

Seen Omar on Boardwalk empire? Its not just the actor that played Omar, to me it seems like it really is Omar. Boardwalk empire is from the same producers as Oz/The Corner/The wire. Usually they use actors from earlier shows they have produced. I counted about 6-7 of the wire cast in Oz. Only noticed Omar in Boardwalk though, there must be more, anybody noticed?

All the pieces matter.

What a programme!

best thing ive ever seen, i was hook from like the 3rd or 4th episode! cant beleive they stopped at 5 series! if they would have made 10 of the same quality this would have been almost world changing tv!
#23
Had this boxset for months and if i'm honest i can't get into it. The first series was ok but the second not so. Should i keep watching or just give up?

Problem is i bought this after finishing the Sopranos and i think that is the best thing i've ever watched

seriously persevere with the wire. It is superbe. I also love the sopranos but this is a class apart.
