The best TV show to emerge from the US in recent years!

The most unvarnished, uncompromising and realistic police drama ever returns for another hard-hitting season. Unlike most television crime dramas, which neatly introduce and then solve a case all in the space of one hour, HBO's THE WIRE follows one single drug and homicide investigation throughout the length of an entire season. Centred around the drug culture of inner-city Baltimore, the series' storyline unfolds from the points of view of both the criminals lording the streets and the police officers determined to bring them down. Created by writer David Simon (THE CORNER, HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET), THE WIRE's multifaceted approach offers a nuanced overview of every aspect of the drug trade and the complex morality of its participants. The second season is included here in its entirety.

Man, the site is really screwed at the moment.

I hope they do the decent thing when they launch the sale and reduce Deadwood... purely because I want it ;)

You're right, £37 for Season 1 of the Wire!

Warm vote - less than £2 difference is hardly setting the place on fire. :)

Not as good as the first season, but you can't argue with the price.

Voted hot (as £2 is approx 10% cheaper than anywhere else)

By that logic you might as well start a deal for nearly every DVD on release, as most of them are a couple of quid cheaper in one place over another. :whistling:

You have been here before haven't you? This site is based around finding those places where purchasing an item is cheaper than elsewhere.

You do know this place is called "HOT" UK Deals and not "A little bit cheaper" UK Deals, don't you? :-D

A 10% (£2) saving on the next cheapest place is pretty hot, imho. And please don't forget that some high street stores are still charging £30-40. On a DVD boxset, I'd be more than happy to save that £2. So, yes, it's only a little bit cheaper, but thats significant in the total price.

Well done. A price comparison site will also give you the cheapest place for a purchase. *Pats on head*
This site ovelaps the work they do, by highlighting the best deals and are not specific to any given catergory (e.g. dvds, cameras etc.) and obviously the deals on here are normally customer submitted rather than paid for.
