Great Deal!
Lol at the name fuzzy Dunlop, straight from the wire!

Best Series ever made of any TV program. Must be true because both me and Metacritic think so :)

Best TV I have watched, amazing season 4

Agreed The Wire is superb. I've got the last episode of S4 to watch and then on to S5. I wish they hadn't stopped making it!

why can't they sell season 5 ?!?!

"Agreed The Wire is superb. I've got the last episode of S4 to watch and then on to S5. I wish they hadn't stopped making it!"

I watched all 5 seasons too quickly and really missed it afterwards. I then stumbled upon The Shield which I also can't recommend highly enough. It is very different from The Wire in that it is less of a "slow burn" but it is utterly addictive and the acting is impeccable. Give it a go (if you haven't already) when you finish The Wire! Generation Kill (also David Simon) is very good too.

I started watching late August so have managed to pace myself pretty well considering how addictive it is. Saying that it's been less than 2 weeks since I started season 4!

I'll check out The Sheild when I'm done, cheers :)

The sheild is faster paced, more gritty but AMAZING too.

But if you want more of the same try. The corner (Which is the program they did before the wire and inspired the wire series) also Homicide life on the streets, which again is a VERY good show.

But basically in order of preference for anyone who loves the wire i would go

The Wire
The Corner
Homicide
The Shield
Generation kill

My Favourite from what i have seen/heard is

The Wire
The Corner
The Shield
Homicide
Generation kill.

But would still say all 5 are some of the best serial shows made

Nice one guys, I was a little worried about what I'd be watching when I'd finished the series!

Oz

Season 2 Is The Best, Then 1, 4, 5 And 3. Best Series At The Moment???? Breaking Bad Without
Question Season 2 Is One (if Not The) Of The Best Tv Seasons I've Ever Watched, Absolutely
Devastating...

Have to say I've yet to see an HBO series that I haven't really enjoyed.

Entourage is another great series from HBO. Loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's life in Hollywood. Ari Gold (one of the characters) is absolutely hilarious!

On the same wavelength as you guys. I'm so enjoying Wire Season 2 at the moment - can't believe I didn't stumble across this earlier.

I'm looking forward to watch Oz 2scoops2, it's on my hit list.

In terms of best ever I think The Wire pips West Wing for me, with Sopranos up in the mix. Dexter has been excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone who asks whilst True Blood has been a bit of a sleeper hit for me too.

Thanks for posting the offer, may well indulge.

Is it worth trying again with The Wire?, I watched the first 4 shows, and couldn't get into it, and didn't care about any of the characters. All I hear is that's its the best TV ever made.

Which was the opposite with the Shield after the first 2 episodes I was hooked.

Yes definitely! I found the first half of season one quite slow as well, the same as I did with The Sopranos. Stick with it, you will find yourself caring about the characters and I also found that the ones I want to remain in the season change as it progresses!

I must say the last coupleof epoisodes of season 4 made me really upset, a great show for all thats wrong with society. Favourite season by far!

Cheers I will give it a go and watch the full first series, and see how I get on.

any deals on series 5?

Good deal but be warned - this company is Singapore based and you will certainly have to wait. Check other sites and you will see they do not have a good reputation

You do have to wait a week to ten days to receive your order but its worth it for the price. I think the next best price for this is £14. I bought true blood season 1 for £18.49 from them too, thats almost a tenner cheaper than anyone else
