The Wolfman (2010) DVD £4.00! ASDA instore

Went into Rawtenstall ASDA last night and picked up The Wolfman: Extended Cut (2010, with Benicio Del Toro, Hugo Weaving & Anthony Hopkins) for £4! Also went into the Accrington ASDA this morning and it was £4 there too.

The picture I have taken isn't the best but you can see the price and the title, but a member of staff was looking at me funny whilst I was taking a picture :P

Anyway, it's a good deal considering it's only been out just over 2 weeks.

Its a misprice due to a glitch in their system (which means some of their DVDs are more expensive than they should be - i.e. The Road is £29.97). They will have it fixed tomorrow. So if you want one, buy it tonight.

That's not a bad price! I thought the film was pretty poor though. Great cast, but it just didn't deliver at all, apart from the effects. Heat added here.
#3
Agree great price , poor film with a good cast.
#4

There is a link provided in the original post. I will post it again

As I said the picture isn't great but you can see the title, what it was reduced from (£12.97) and how much it is now.

It's only bad if you watch it. To add insult to injury I saw it in the cinema and it was shown out of focus. Great valentines date that was.

Surely though that's just unlucky on your behalf. When I saw it at the cinema it was fine. I enjoyed it personally when I saw it at the cinema

Really? I thought it was an awful film. I did complain and was give 2 free tickets and saw Kick Ass a few weeks later. Different screen in the same cinema, out of focus again. Last time i'll set foot in an Odeon, they have one job to do and failed twice in a row. :x

I should mention that Odeons are awful. No quality control and the prices are expensive for crap service. I love films, but I wouldn't see anything in an Odeon.

Luckily, I have a Cineworld and an Empire.

As for the film, I liked it. Not great, but decent enough entertainment. I haven't seen the Extended Version, but it might fix the poor pacing in the first act.

LOL..... I actually wish that it had been out of focus when i watched it!!! I can honestly say that this is one of THE worst films I have ever paid to see at the cinema!!! If you have Sky movies, save yourself the £4 and buy a 3 litre bottle of white lightening and drink it in one go before watching it on sky!!! I promise you will not want to see this more than once.

At last someone actually say what was wrong instead of just "it's crap..the worst film I ever saw...don't bother." and so on.

Had absolutly no depth... Was like a film made for children only with added gore! For wolf lovers only...
#22
i got this on blura steelbook, just because its a steelbook but one good thing about it is if you have an ipod touch or iphone and use the bluray remote app pocket blu, you unlock extra features.

and one extra is the full length original wolfman movie starring lon chaney jr.

anyway dvds should be this price anyway these days. they should be half the price of blurays anyway, im sure they did that with vhs at the end, everything was £5.99

Benitsio was pretty poor, supporting actress was very good actually.

The film started okay, lost its way, let slip the secret far too easily and early, so the rest was just bordem waiting for the conclusion you knew was going to happen.

Neo......Just watch the film then and you will know what we are all on about!!!! :-D

The upside of this film was the werewolves themselves being probably one of the best CGI werewolves and transformations i've seen, the downside was that the film was slow and i wasn't sure if the "twist" was meant to be one or not as it was obvious straight away.

wow that's really cheap... I remember going to see that at the cinema for free, was an okay film and well for £4 is cheap - heat

Hay pal, a little tip for you from an avid cinema-goer. If a film starts off out of focus, which happens quite a lot, just run out to the foyer and complain to the staff to alert the bozo of a projectionist to get his act together in Screen X! It works!
What is annoying is some cinemas' insistence that they now have to leave lights on during the film due to health and safety regs. Hello? Films are supposed to be viewed in the dark. I don't want to look at the audience. :x (Rant, rave).
Haven't seen this movie but hear it is not a patch on the all-time classic 'An American Werewolf In London'...

It's not a Werewolf Flick as such, its an update from the old universal classic from the 40's and it did it well.

A few in Southampton anyhow

I don't know what the hell cinema you go to, but I've never had a film start out of focus, nor have the lights ever been on during a movie. The 'health and safety' thing is clearly excuse for the fact that their projectionist forgot to turn the lights off.

Let me, guess an Odeon? A bunch of badly managed crapholes.
