I thought it was like a feature length episode of x-files but worth watching i thought

It is better on repeated viewings. It is not a summer blockbuster and should have been released in the winter months. Hopefully we'll get a third alien invasion film to tie up the mythology.

Tempted to buy this, is it worth it guys?

This movie is very, very boring. If you love X files, it is more X files. But it's just like an episode of the X files, except the chemistry between Mulder and Scully is gone and the 45 minute plot has been dragged out to feature length. So not a glowing recommendation from me. Price is OK though. :)

oh, and the painful realisation that gillian anderson now looks like Heather McCartney-mills!

Agree with the post above, just like an extended episode.

Good price, but for me the best part of the film happens in the closing credits. :whistling:

Yes, I have to agree. This film is a YAWN fest.

I liked the film. It's best to see the film as quiet coda to the original series. It's definitely not blockbuster material or like their previous film outing. It's very low key and atmospheric. I agree it's winter rather than summer material.

Mulder and Scully have moved on but are still clearly deeply affected by their previous experiences. It's a chance to see them back in action one last time (I doubt there'll be another film) and I think it's a good ending to the series.

I liked the original series and the first x files movie but this movie is shockingly bad:roll:
