Guess you did not look at the poundland thread then :-D

Ah... but would it cost you more than £1.75 to drive / get public transport there / walk for more than 20 minutes? ;-)

Guess you did not look at the poundland thread then :-D

I bought the Zavvi cable when they were taking a pound off orders the other day and that cable is gr8, fantastic pic & sound, but wish I knew about this amazon 1, could have got 2!:x
Anyway, a digi cable is a digi cable not like anologue where u might need to throw a bit more money for better quality
Don't Alphason make cheap speaker and TV stands for Argos....??

Anyhow If you are madly convinced somehow that you need to buy 'better' cables than the cheap 99p ones then try here for good quality cables without "Emporers new clothes" price tags....
I didn't say it was the ceapest HDMI I said it was the cheapest ALPHASON one. So it's a Hot Deal on Alphason cables. If you don't want one don't buy it, but it's not a cold. It would only be cold of i'd said cheapest ever HDMI lead!

And for the record the quality of the cable does make a difference because if nothing else it reduces the ammount of error correction that your device would have to do after being passed through an inferiour cable. I do realise that there are people not prepaired to pay that so enjoy your cheap ebay ones.

Lol your a salesman's dream! can I interest you in a Armani invisible suit they are all the rage?

bought my gv8330 steam gen some 7-9 years back but alas the steam won't push through i'd love to get the same one again can anyone help. ps: i contacted tefal and they suggested they won't repair anything over 5 years old
but a still well worth the price i think i paid 160 from tesco back then
We have one of these - it is phenomenal. A Steam Generator is different than a normal iron. There is no going back once you have used one of these. We paid about £175 for ours so this is a very good deal.
£150 for an iron?

These Tefal steam generator irons are great. I would never go back to the small ones again. They are very well made and last for years. These small ones were needing replaced every year. The steam that you get from a Tefal Steam Generator is fantastic and really cut the ironing time down.
£150 for an iron?
I have just ordered this one myself, I too replaced my old tefal steam generator, that one lasted me 9 years, it was a 2921 model,(model numbers have certainly moved on since then) that had the boost button too, but to be honest I never used it, found the iron was great with out it. I could never go back to the old style ironing, once you have a steam generator its the only way to go! If my new one lasts as long as my old one, it will certainly be worth every penny!

It's coming up @ £7.88 for delivery. Am i missing a code?

nothing like regurgitating a 9 month old thread lol

They tripled the battery life from the paltry 3 minutes of the DC16 to 10 minutes in this one (then wait 180 minutes to charge it).
Having held one (but not used it) it felt like the centre of gravity is too far forward - I'm surprised they didn't make it balance more comfortably in your hand. I guess you don't have to focus too much on ergonomics when you'll only be hoovering for 10 minutes at a time.

Breville TR40 Cafe-style Sandwich and Pannini Press £22.64 Delivered @ Atlantic Shop

Ive been looking for one of these after reading so many bad reviews of the smaller ones which seal the sandwich just after they squeeze your fillings out onto the worktop. :D These seem to be really g…

I bought one. It's a bargain at this price. Have a look at the reviews on Amazon:

The most common complaints about the small ones is that they squirt most of the filling out onto the worktop, and they are a pain to clean.

This one has a coating which makes it a breeze to clean - just wipe with a damp cloth. The only bad thing is that it's quite big but it does store upright.

I'd really reccommend you buy this one but if you need more convincing have a look at the reviews of some of the other smaller ones on Amazon and you'll soon see why.
has anyone got one? review on it?

i've never owned a sandwich maker but i reallllllllly want one now. what should i look out for?
Thanks OP. H&R.
Have ordered one.
Yes, I agree it does seem to have some sort of problem but if you persevere it will work. It's £10 cheaper than anywhere else though so worth the effort I think.
Poor web site - tried IE and FFox and got the same problem as above.

Ah well their loss - will look elsewhere

Great deal. I also have a Tefal Steam generator (not this model) and it is great.
Have this same model and is a very good iron.

Not seen this anywhere cheaper.

Voted hot.

This looks to be the same model as Makro have in the new MakroMail for 69.99 plus vat= £82.23 so is a good deal, although if you have a Makro card, it can be picked up.

I have a Tefal steam generator (not this model) and it has been excellent - another world away from piddling feeble steam irons!

not much of a deal since half the members on the forum including me got the 42" for £475 + free delivery plus quidco on christmas day.

Although my quidco never tracked it was still a bargain and im using my laptop through it right now lol

you can't compare like for like
I have the 42" version of this and it was a great buy. Cant comment on the deal but the television is hot.
voted hot, this blows the c series out the window, for starters:

- 100hz, excellent for footy, no smearing like you get with 50hz lcd
- full 1080p
- Supports 1080p 24hz correctly with 5:5 pulldown, meaning no judder when viewing bluray or hd disks.
- Black levels are bested by the samsung f series, however the sammy 100hz technology is useless (see avforums, the sammy has lots of bugs and firmware issues both the m and f series ) and toshs implementation actually works.
- hdmi 1.3

not sure about the retailer, but will buy in the next few months, when the set goes near the 750 mark. i would advise to buy from a retailer that you can return things to easily. most lcds are okay, however if your purchase is faulty, e.g. back light bleed, clouding etc, you want a retailer that will be happy to exchange or refund if the fault isnt fixed.

on a side note: peeps are gonna start flaming regarding the benefit 1080p,here is the actually benefit: taken from cnet, which has won me over. e.g. you can get a big screen and sit closer to the telly than sitting more further back to get the benefit from it, so ideal for smaller rooms:

Katzmaier also says that the main real-world advantage of 1080p is not the extra sharpness you'll be seeing, but instead, the smaller, more densely packed pixels. In other words, you can sit closer to a 1080p television and not notice any pixel structure, such as stair-stepping along diagonal lines, or the screen door effect (where you can actually see the space between the pixels). This advantage applies regardless of the quality of the source.
this tv may have been 799 before xmas but on digital direct its now 860.

please dont confuse this tv for the basic C series that was posted earlier. this is the top Z range with 1080p screen and 100hz scan. This tv has rave reviews and that was when it was released at £1300 1 month ago.

personally for me the biggest benefit of this tv is its ability to accept 1080p over component so my xbox 360 doesnt need upgrading to a hdmi version and this set also does 1-1 pixel mapping.
I don't understand why this deal is cold :?

The cheapest I found this TV for (inc delivery) is aprox £100 more so I would have been very grateful to the OP if I had been purchasing this TV.
