I don't think he's ever said anything even remotely offensive......or memorable.

That's why I find him offensive.

Funny compared to Jo Brand, Noel Fielding, Ross Noble, Victoria Wood, that Iranian woman, jack dee, jimmy carr, Sean Lock, john bishop, james corden, that welsh one, and a million others that grace our tv screens daily he has had his moments. Hes annoying, and his act has wore thin but observations about electronic items and radiator bleeding keys have there place. I hate when he talks about his kids though.

Good comedians IMO are Stewart Lee, Bill Hicks, Russel Peters, Katt Williams, Chris Rock, David Chappele, Richard Pryor, Bernard Manning (yes I know), Louis CK, George Carlin, Frankie Boyle can be good but can also push abit far.

So what have you got against the Welsh and the Iranians?

Oh well if you both tell me that I didn't find michael macintyre funny, I must be wrong then.

I think you are misinterpreting what I am saying. The hippie bit is funny though :)

I'm not offended by what you are saying, I'm asking how you can say my taste is music is awful or my taste in comedians can be wrong. They made me laugh, job done.
Do you get it now ?

If I don't like a piece of classical music, but someone else does, I don't berate the guy for enjoying it.

But we do that all the time. There are good exponents of a medium, and bad ones. EastEnders and The Wire are both dramas, but one is obviously better than the other (do you need me to tell you which) because of the quality of it's writing, the way it's filmed and the acting talent.

The same goes for comedy. Some of it is well-constructed and has a powerful underlying message, whilst some of it is 'easy' - McIntyre is easy. Almost none of his material is memorable, there's no deeper meaning and his sets aren't particularly well crafted.

So don't be afraid to be bold and make a case for why something is good or bad - the audience reaction is part of art.

How anyone can argue about Music, Comedy, or Drama, I don't know.

You don't know? So you've never read a review, seen a debate about the arts or even discussed with a friend what you think is good in the cinema? That's what art is about - communicating emotion and life and of course people will have views on that.

If you can't understand that, I'm really not sure how much 'better' your life is than anyone else.

Having a view is one thing, we all have our opinions, but telling people their opinion is wrong is another thing entirely.

So you're telling me my opinion is wrong? Oh no, you've broken your moral code....up is now down, black is now white.
