Still not active, rung my mums number and it goes into TPO voicemail but still not active and says on her phone "Emergency Calls Only". I've never known it to take over 48 hours to activate a SIM from when I activated it online on Tuesday teatime.

Cracking deal, as long as there are not any catches with it, Ive never heard of the company though.

I came across them when I fell outta love with EE, when EE took over my THEN provider of t-mobile about 5ish years ago, and scrapped everything that was good about t-mobiles plans. I used them (TPO) as a stop gap, but I guess I got a better deal from Talk Talk at the time? DON'T LAUGH, we ALL make mistakes, anyway...they did the job, and considering yer not gonna tie yerself down (as with most) to a 12/18 or 24 month contract ( it's only 30 day's) it's gotta be worth a crack, AND as a bonus (to some) TPO will donate 10% of your bill to a charity of your choice...Cancer research in my case, so me thinks...WIN WIN :D

All the best

Seems to be the cheapest place for 2gb data. The TPO deals looks good, and WAY better than TalkTalk's basic Sim only package of 250 minutes, unlimited texts (up from 250) and 300 MB (up from 150) @ £3.95 (down from £7.90)

I'm a TT customer, but just signed up to TPO (30 day contract, NOT 12 months, as is TT )...1000 minutes, 1000 texts and 1 GB @ £3.99....Details below were cut n pasted from the uSwitch.com site a few moments ago.

Oh, and as a bonus TPO will donate 10% of your bill to a charity of your choice, so WIN WIN, eh.

ENJOY
;)

Bait and Switch experience with TPO for me.

I went for on a cheapo rolling 30 day deal with them a year or so ago. They increased the tariff within a few months to something definitely not competitive. So I left. They still owe me a few quid refund which has been written off.

I have two contracts for my kids with ID mobile. They can be difficult to deal with (nightmare trying to just change tariff) but at least there's no financial chicanery with ID.

Good value but very very little data. I use this daily on average :D
If that's true, you probably pay a little more than £3.99 for your contract :)

Indeed £16 for unlt/unlt/20gb :D
Feature phones = 2G basic phones?

TPO piggybacks off 3 network, so wouldn't work on those.

jase.2
the data allowance will make this cold for most
But for those that can keep their data under 512MB then this is pretty good (I'm considering this). Turning my mobile data on only when you need it saves battery and allowance. Most of the time I have Wi-Fi at work and home, and Wi-Fi uses much less power than mobile data.

Good deal but being on Three is a deal breaker for me - lack of coverage.
So far so good so to say with TPO but it is early days only signed up with them a few days ago.
I've moved from T-mobile to these guys. Great signal and customer service. I've contacted them over the phone using 500 customer service number and got connected to an advisor only after a couple of minutes wait (unlike t-mobile). Online support is great and each time i got a response within a couple of hours. I would 100% recommend TPO to anyone wants a cheap and cheerful sim only deal

Stupidly, I ignored the warnings about TPO customer service, thinking that I would insert the SIM, activate it and everything would be fine.
Five days later, SIM refuses to activate, and getting no response from Customer Service.
Initial £6.99 was taken immediately from my debit card- suppose I'll have to write that off!
Now I have to ensure that they don't start taking money by direct debit.
Doesn't appear to be any way to actually speak to anyone at the Company, just email which they ignore.
Anyone have any ideas?
Assume was email here ?

Jumped on a brand new £6.99 deal a few months ago - jumped up to £10 with a worse package 3 months later - left.

Bait and switch.

Yes I took this when they were using EE and then said moving to 3 because they offered them and so it's customers much better value for money.....then hiked the price. Did ask the obvious question of how is it better value if it costs more but just met with ' you want to leave then'. Switched to ID who so far have been faultless

Did the same to me. Unethical. I really empathised with the charity thing too, so there was a degree of irony.
Never had any problems with them. And they gave me extra data when I run out
Even the 10% charity donation has strings attached, too.

Personally, for a budget SIMO deal, I think ID are fine. We have two ID SIMs in our household.

Lol, yes just got the email. Next provider please!
Been quite pleased with mine. The porting process didn't go smoothly, but was only 2 days worth of oddness until my number sorted itself out.

Also pleased with the service. My phone only ever displayed '4G' on Three, now get '4G+' on TPO/EE and the download speeds are 3 times that screenshot above. For £7, can't complain.
Looks 4G to me, still EE though:http://i.imgur.com/MnxJnbm.png

The missus was bumped up from 12.49 to 19.99 3 months after joining.

Now with 3 half price 6 months.

Bunch of crooks this lot.
as per above comment - they are decommissioning these plans - and moving from EE to 3 network. TBH, the new plans on 3 are not that attractive and I am looking to switch.

This deal has expired.
To update anyone who may still be reading.

I am on this plan, and received an email this evening. They are switching me from 3G to 4G from as early as Mid June (three weeks) and everyone on their network will be switched by the end of July.

The only downside for some, is that they have told me that they are switching networks from EE to Three and that I will need to unlock my phone if it's locked to EE.

Update: Received a further email as they had promised. It looks like I have to choose one of their new plans (which aren't such good value).

Not happy :(

Edited By: DavieJones on May 31, 2016 21:14: Further Email Received
Had one of these sims about 3 hours and already unimpressed.

Activated sim online about 2 hours ago.. using in an unlocked galaxy s5. It says tpo up the top left when screen locked however can only receive texts. Can't make calls send texts or browse Internet.

Down loaded settings and tried manually but nothing. No g or nothing up by the bars.

Any ideas

Oh boy! It's freezing here! Rimi,s bang on. EE do not do pay as you go data, only bundles - which is so backwards.

When i was with three I use to go through £10 every six months! (On my back up phone), so this is better to have than "no sim" on the iphone. £8 is still a bit steep for unlocking spare phone - "free" is another story though.

Cheers for the heads up on delight sim, saved me the bother.

I've been hearing tpo might move to another network - I hope it's only rumour. !!

So £20 per gb of data? and this is a deal?
I find it strange the poster is claiming its an alternative to 3's PAYG service for data , yet its DOUBLE the cost ! !
Their calls and texts cost 50% more than Three too.

Well,he compares it if you have EE locked phone...and true to be said, this is best deal if you can't unlock EE phone and wanna use it with different sim that EE.

I signed up to TPO and lasted a couple of weeks. struggled epically to get data working and then it wasn't reliable at all. kept having to play with phone to get data flowing again. I have been off them for a few months and keep getting charged £0.20 a month. when I messaged them about if, before a human response, I got one asking them to rate their customer service.

Life mobile......cheaper and uses the same network as people operator.
So many knocking them but i never had a problem with the 3 accounts we had in our household apart from a sim that couldn't be activated.
As a measure of goodwill we had 2 more months added to the already half price 3 months introductory tariff.

Theres a website called kenstechtips its on there. TPO have also contacted their customers as they are just about to make tpo bundles worse value and increase the payg price of data whilst reducing the price of payg calls and tests to 4p and 2p respectively.

Ive also tried TPO, customer service is pretty awful. Usually long waits to get through to an advisor who cant usually help but can pass your complaint on for someone else to ignore!
New payg sims used to get initial credit doubled up to a max £25.
Also beware that TPO are changing carrier to three in 2016 Q1, so you will need a good three signal where you want to use the phone.
When they do join three it will also cause problems for people with dual sim phones and the 'three' sim must also be set as the data sim (unless you have a dual 3g handset).
Can't see were it says they are switching to three?

Also beware that TPO are changing carrier to three in 2016 Q1, so you will need a good three signal where you want to use the phone.

When they do join three it will also cause problems for people with dual sim phones and the 'three' sim must also be set as the data sim (unless you have a dual 3g handset).
Sorry to say but useless customer service, kept me going in loops, ignored all written communication and couldn't fix a split port issues in over 2 months, something Three did in 24 hours after I cancelled my TPO contract.
speed on giff gaff is slower than a 1 legged dead horse encased in concrete.

OK if you don't use data.

you get £5 for every friend you introduce. when they experience the service they wont be your friend anymore and you`ll have no one to text or call, overall saving a fortune in mobile bills!

Just so you know, these guys have done a bait & switch scam, and changed everyone's Pay Monthly contracts, December 1st 2015, without telling them, and then charging them £50 for 1GB of data. People are only getting the bills now, and complaining!!

Anyone affected needs to complain to Ofcom asap, treating customers unfairly etc . Links below:

Do yourself a favour and avoid! I joined because of the £3.99 promotion and the whole 10% to charity thing but the company got much work to do.
Their internet is absolutely terrible and customer service ... don't even go there. Customer service is non existent.

Left after first month. Even at £3.99 for 6gb not worth it, at 2g speeds.
Posted here for those who might be searching on TPO deals as this is the last one.

Will be on Three network from Q1 2016 - often relevant to those in areas where some network signals are better or worse than others.

just left these horrible experience ordered sim for 3.99 for first 2 months didnt activate it as went into hospital as diagnosed with the big c thought the money was taken out once sim was activated 4 months after when i was up to sorting it out activated the sim in my phone and guess what they had been taking 14.99 each month so phoned them up to explain situation passed it to billing they gave me 7.50 credit off one months line rental not bad to say they had had £98 off me altogether for 1 months usage so called up and cancelled sorry to leave but £98 for one month is a bit steep even if it is unlimited texts and minutes and 6gb data

Hello,

Sorry your experience wasn’t as expected, clearly not ideal and not what we’re aiming for. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to comment, as we would like the opportunity to look into this further. Could you please the following details name, email address, TPO number and full address to marketing@tpouk.com.

Best,

The TPO Team - *C
