Should the title not be 1 month free on a minimum 2 month contract? Basing this on having to give 30 days notice after 1st month, or is it different?

and you don't think there will be a problem with the claim if you have already given notice to cancel?

I don't believe that there would be a claim problem. You can give notice at the start of your contract, and you'll still get a bill showing that you've paid any outstanding charges at the end of the month...

Edi - some quick questions for you.

Onestopphoneshop are doing the K800i on a 12 mth free £35 deal on 02 (400m/500t). So I could profit by £36.50 Quidco.

Its a price match deal.

My understanding is the difference between the deal for the E900 and the K800i is - 4 claims against 5 claims.

If you miss a claim on the K800i its all further cashback lost.

Both are 30 days timescale?
I saw a recent cashback deal for CPW I was going to go for, but I was not to sure about the process of getting it back.
There was a link to the process on here a while back.
Can anyone help.
Cheers.
Just an update, can anyone advise best way to talk to e2Save.

I ordered a phone, similar deal on 4th May, from The Phone Spot. As it was just over two months ago now, my first cheque should have arrived - the automatic one. Sounds similar to MSE comments.
Any advice as how best to chase them? Thanks
Cheers for this bargain Edi, I ordered one yesterday for my wife as her current carphone warehouse cashback offer is just coming to a close so it was perfect timing ! I've just been waiting for a decent O2 offer to appear.

The phone arrived this morning in a white cardboard box, complete with charger, data lead and cd. The phone looks brand new although the battery inside has a few scuffs indicating they have probably just fitted a new case.

The phone is going on ebay anyway so I'm not too bothered :)
Good deal this. I've had bucketloads of cashback contracts with CPW companies, and not had a real problem yet (they made administrative screwups with one, but fixed it via email).

What's nice with these current gen of phones is you can put a £15 2GB card in them, and use bluetooth A2DP earphones for music. Not only do you not need an Ipod, you don't even need the wires....

Will quidco track another £50 if I take up this offer or will it get mixed up?

Carphone Warehouse (inc e2save, PhoneSpot & OSPS) are very reliable for cashback :)

I would suggest this 6230i deal from CarphoneWarehouse (click image for direct link)

Term cost £84 + £35 Quidco cashback | 250 x-net mins & 100 texts / month (12m contract)

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o175/hotukdeals/nok6230iCPW.jpg
Much better 6230i deal via buymobilephones.net

300 minutes, 450 texts on Orange. 12 months free, 12 month contract. I know, I took it out last week!

It's therefore cold from me...
Thanks Edi. On the homepage it does say the handset is now free. I don't think the link page has been updated as when I went to buy it the handset was free and they did not take any payment.
Thanks londonthing98 :)

There is a £19.99 charge for the handset. IMO, by giving a very low monthly allowance (50 mins / month) they expect you to go over the limit and end up paying 20-40p/min for calls.

Good deal for those who look for an additional handset / number to mainly receive calls. PLUS, very reliable cashback from e2save (CPW) group.

This is such an old phone now, time to move on with the times I think and get something like the Sony Ericson 810/880
Naff deal in my opinion. It's a 'Clearance' phone and costs £20 Per Month. It's an 'old' phone as well.
You have to claim the cashback.
You can get a much better Mobile phones for 'free' with cashback.

So, do I have this right:

It'll cost me zero pounds for a new phone plus those inclusive texts/minutes and no further commitment beyond the 12 months and I get £50 Quidco?

And, do I actually pay the £20 monthly then claim it back or not?

Apologies but not really up on all this stuff!

All ofers via cashback !

Pay the rental and then claim it back.

Thanks foobar and barins_t :)

The W810i I ordered from PhoneSpot arrived in mint condition, in orginal box and was unlocked. I hope this is the case with E900 too.

As OP says & pointed by brains_t; E900 offer is also available from CoolNewMobile for 12 months Free on 12 month contract. Very reliable cashback too from CNM but according to their T&C's, cashback should be claimed in 5 stages and if any one claim fails, the rest of the cashback is void. For this reason alone, I recommend the PhoneSpot deal :)
foobar
Im sure I saw someone post a 12 months free with free e900 the other day?

No problem.

These OSPS/E2Save/ThePhoneSpot L6 offers won't last however, they're all from the same stockpile I imagine.

Grab em while you can :)
ah right, thanks alot for the explanation :)
Chef, yes, the full monthly payment must be made.
Then the cashback is paid in arrears to you most of the time.

Crude summary not for this deal:
12months free rental on cashbacks @ months 4, 8 and 12, on 12month contract of £120 per cashback.

£30/month paid every month on time + any extra charges should there be any.

You pay £30/month in advance on rental, superfluous calls in arrears should you make any.
Every 4months you get your rental backback of £120, so £30+£30+£30+£30 all negated every 4 months by each claim.

You need a healthy cashflow for cashbacks really.

There's a good reason 76% of the mobile market is Pay as You Go, people don't trust themselves with contracts and/or find them too pricey and are ignorant to the cashback options

Read up on my comments about cashback, they are there to trip you up and make retailers money, u need to be good at planning to use them.
actually looking for a sub £50 phone and was contemplating the L6.

Is this complicated to do though? i've not done contract as i use £10 every 60 days or so on PAYG. Do i have to pay the full £35pm and then track up the cashback so it works out at £30? sorry for my noobness.
Similar deal from phonespot:

Brand New Motorola L6 Blue or Silver on O2 400mins/100sms (£35/month) 9 months free rental via cashback = £315 cashback with £105 term cost, after £50 quidco £55 term cost

Cashback terms for these:

9 Months FREE line rental

A credit of £66.00 will be raised automatically by cheque within 2 months if you do not cancel your contract. You will receive a text message when this credit has been successfully raised.

To gain the remainder of your line rental / cash back please send your 6th 8th 10th and 12th monthly bills within 30 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bill to us and we will credit you by cheque with £62.25 each time.

This will save you £315.00 over the 12 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £8.75 per month.

yeah exactly. wow didnt know payg was that much of the market... seems everyone i know has a contract now.
but who knows? maybe some customer service person might be nice to me. i'll let you know if i managedto haggle anything ;)
Are u talking about PAYG retention? Never really seen that accept on rare occasion a higher spender might get an offer.

PAYG might be 76%of the market which is why under £15/month spend is actually better to be PAYG really but with cashback contract beats it and contract has obligated loyalty + hasslefree loyalty afterward means they should try.

I imagine alot of companies will have stock to shift just as xmas arrives.
last time i asked for a pac to leave to go to 3 (btu then e2save couldnt actually carry out my order as they ran out) and orange just said ok you'll get your code in a few days. i don't mean much to them it seems ;)
and for o2 i haven't used my sim card in about 6 months, so no activity on that.

oh and i'll probably now not do anything until after christmas as im off on holiday and starting a contract anytime soon is pointless.
tom_rayner:

It can vary, O2 and Three have v good retention deals imo, Orange can vary if you are valueable enough, Virgin and Vodafone both on par really with free near top end phones for £25/month on half decent tariffs, Tmobile are just pathetic from what I have heard.

For Virgin, Tmob and Voda, "new customers only" seem to be benefit most from retailer deals over anything the network offers, 3 and O2 easily trump their retailers tho.

So for Virgin, tmob or voda, pac out to another network

3 or O2 don't pac out unless you do not get offered a good deal (which is usually done by threatening to leave by asking for a pac.

I started on O2 in 2005 on a 12months free rental deal which mobileshop were very efficient with and O2 were keen to keep me as a customer, which unfortunately most companies arn't keen to do these days.
how do you get decent deals from the providers themselves? i know some people haggle after finishing their contract, but i haven't had a contract yet... just on PAYG with both o2 and orange.... so would be treated as a "new" customer i guess? i would love to get the deal you got schizoboy
