Surely it's just very similar to kinetic? One stored in a capacitor and one in a spring or something. If you don't get to see it happening it seems a little pointless to me.
Nothing remarkable about this timepiece to warrant the price tag?

Automatic? So it ticks on its own?
Remarkable. Technology these days!
I assume that you're trying to make a joke? If not, an automatic watch has a mechanical movement with a rotor that rewinds the mechanism through the movement of the wearer's arm.

That's actually a really nice watch with a really good discount. Don't know why it's gone so cold.
maybe because a lot of people can't afford such luxury at the moment

That is the most pathetic excuse I've seen so far on this site for voting a deal cold.

Jealous idiots. Its pathetic.
buy the way i voted this deal hot not cold

I dont see why people think its reasonable to spend thousands of pounds, or even hundreds for that matter, on a **** watch when there are people starving to death. Its irresponsible **** like this from westerners which embarasses this nation. Materialism is so damn widely accepted by everyone, the ease with which the marketing has convinced you that you 'need' all this **** is just mind bending. And of course, people will rush to defend materialism because, hey, **** starving people because they were born in the wrong time and place.

I couldn't agree with your more sir. I yearned for the day our societies here in the decadent west collapse either through economic strife, war, civil rebellion or natural disaster. I am doing my very best to ferment that. Either way I have my open ticket to the east.

Do us all a favour and use your ticket now.

I hope it's worth more than a tenner as he paid £1800 for it about 10 years ago.

I shall get round to taking your advice and take it to a decent watch jewellers at some point.

Do so; if it cost that much 10 years ago it may have appreciated nicely and require addtional insurance.

I have a solid silver rectangular faced De Montfort watch.

It's not a manufactuer of watches that I've ever heard of, but that doesn't mean it's not valuable. It might be worth £10 and be a mass produced piece sold by the likes of Samuals, but it could be a limited edition run watch made by a small relatively unknown watch maker. Your best bet is to take it to a decent independant jewellers (ideally one specialising in watches).

Cheers anyway.
