Do they need the disc to run, or can you install it to the hdd without need for the disc? Was thinking about playing the first one on a netbook

If you read the reviews on Amazon, you will have trouble running these games on Windows 7 especially if, as is most likely, you've got a multi-core processor. I managed to get the two older games running my dual-core laptop but this was under XP.

It's possible to download modified game executables to get these games to run without discs in the drive. Google "GameCopyWorld" and have a furtle around.

These games are amazing and Thief 2 stills ranks as my personal favourite of all time.

See you later Taffers! :D

In true Thief style, I've swiped it! X)

Now I've got the chance to play the Thief Gold levels for the first time. Good times!

Ok then, what do you prefer £5 deal or the £3.98 deal? Maybe op posted this deal before you had a chance to do so, hence your comments

No, I saw montyburns56's deal yeaterday morning and ordered it immediately (already despatched). The reason for my comments was that I generally don't try to take credit for other people's hard work and find it disappointing when others do exactly that. Try getting that sand out of your crack; it should make you much less touchy.

NO thanks, I am ok as touchy as i am. But maybe you should thank the op for posting this deal. It is not the same as the play deal...IT IS FOR LESS...I would have ordered from play had i not seen this

Of course it's for less; no-one is disputing that, although you seem to think they are. My point was not that it was a duplication of the Play post but rather that if you look at the Play deal you'll see that this deal is just a knock-off of the £3.98 deal which montyburns56 posted in that thread.

I would still advise that you get that sand out of your crack as it is clearly impeding your ability to understand what is being said here.
