Remember you can use this game as a trade-in towards The Last of Us on PS4 from Gamestop.. It'll make it £9.97 so in total you'll effectively be paying £24.97 making it a steal. No pun intended :P

£20 at Game for those few that only buy new games.

Good deal at this price.

The reviews for this were completely retarded!

Great game for anyone who doesn't think games have to revolve around multiplayer death matches.

PS4 Version I thought was better too.

I would recommend trying the demo on the ps store. Assuming same for Xbox market place.

The game is hit and miss. I personally would pass. The reviews took my interest away, then the demo was lack lusting. Just didn't bother with it.

Really I think the thief name should be removed as has put a huge dent in the series. It play like hell on both systems 30fps and below not good enough.

Performance on PS4 and Xbox One counts as a bigger concern, and neither deserves any sort of recommendation here. Frankly, it feels unpleasant to control Garrett when moving with any haste - not due to frame-rate dips alone, but because of the pacing of these frames, leading to stuttering.

I took the plunge when it was £16.99 at Gamecentre the other day and I am now trading it towards TLOU Remastered with Gamestop.

Awful game, the AI is just terrible. No point in a stealth game if the enemies just ignore you.

Very tempting at this price, but I think I still need to resist for now... I really don't need to add to my backlog and I know that it's not alll that well-rated a game

Regardless though, this gets heat from me!

Stuttering? I didn't have any problems with that.
Yes it was on 30fps but the overall graphics and framerate can't be bettered if thats what is put on disc and lets face it most next ten games have been.

The game had to show us what a new generation Thief game would look like and play, I found it quite good.

It hasn't had time for trial and error such as GTA as GTA3 was on the PS2. The big change in Resident Evil when we seen RE4. (Although I prefer the original 3)
I think it did quite well in its first new style since the PC days, it can only get better too.

For people who read the bad reviews, best way to explain is that its like Dishonoured.

For me the worst thing in the game were the loading times when you opened a window and it loaded up a new area.
Appart from that there are loads of different ways to complete each level.
If the name didn't give it away, Its a stealth game by the way lol

Played the demo and thought it was 'alright'. Far too much loot in it though.

Will probably pick it up at some point mind

I'd assume that's what McNabFish meant but in any case, the PS4 version is £19.95 from TheGameCollection new: http://www.thegamecollection.net/thief-ps4.html?tduid=f20a496e17acb06ef88726b9cb8ef125

Seems a bit overdramatic to say that just because the game runs so poorly on consoles.

Just completed this on ps4. I played all the thief games on pc back in the day and I have to say graphically this is embarrassingly NOT next gen. There is moments of stutter but I wouldn't say the ps4 version holds anything over the ps3. The game itself is ok but I definitely prefer the previous thief series. I would have felt truly robbed paying £40 for this. It smacks of a rush job to cash in on the next gen lack of titles.

looks remarkably like the engine used to make oblivion many years ago now, does it use that very same engine?

I got this game free (a gift) but still think this game is awful.
I had no expectations for this game, didn't even know it existed. But was a big fan of the original, spent many hours on it.

The gameplay has been completely ruined from the original, controls are horrible, movement is bad. Graphically not what I would've expected. The fantasy element is ridiculous. The characters are weak and unlikable (even the main character). The game feels far more linear than the original - really reducing the fun element of exploring from the original.

Anytime I pick up the game to try to finish it for completions sake, I immediately regret it, there's nothing fun about this game, the looting isn't as enjoyable as the original, the stealth element is just terrible, and combat if you choose to take that route is a joke.
For every cutscene (and there's a few of them) I just cringe throughout.

My only regret is not reselling this the day I got it, as it's now worth next to nothing secondhand.

tried the demo and if that's anything to go by 14.99 is still to much. will wait for it to be free from PlayStation plus. can see this being the first none indie or budget game for the ps4. i feel sorry for anyone who paid full price for this

Was also considering getting this when it hit £15 or below but after trying the demo I think I'll just pass on it altogether, even if it's free on PS+.
Not my type of game at all. I got bored during the part where you're nicking stuff from the jewelry shop. If I got bored that quickly during a demo then there's no point at all in getting the full game

This game is sadly... Guff. Wasted opportunity if ever there was one.
