How exactly? It was decent.

But no, you're right. Let's stick with your plan of action: Go into a deal topic and say something is rubbish without any justification whatsoever! Moron.

There is justification, just didn't think I would need to spell it out. If you watched it, you would know it was rubbish.

Nothing actual happened that was interesting. I was expecting it to follow on the lines of the film but was disappointed with the lack of 'story'. Everyone I know who watched it, also said it was rubbish. They never gave their 'justification' as the feeling was mutual. Moron.

What, so you disliked it because there wasn't enough race hate? Nice one. The point isn't that there is "a story" (singular), but rather a series of simultaneous plotlines which reflect the nature (and changes) of such an area in the 80s.

It dealt with a number of complex issues while remaining true to the original characters... this is what happens when you develop a character, they're not identical after 3 years, see? Perhaps you are simply too young or too privileged to understand the pertinence of the characters and themes.

The continuation of the racial themes you seem to be missing so much are evident in the despair and downfall of Combo, who has realised the futility of his previous actions in terms of improving his own lot in life at a time when many people were looking for a scapegoat for the economic crisis, instead of being proactive in improving their chances (in many cases a parallel with people's attitudes today).

The direction and soundtrack were also excellent.

Regardless of the character development and progression since 3 years prior, very little actual happened to make it interesting. Simultaneous plots are irrelevant if they have no substance, which they didn't.

I stand by my comments. Th 4 part series was rubbish.

dear o dear, clearly you do not realise when a fantastic bit of tv is put on are screens. you clearly didnt really understand the point of it. there was story but it was more about the relationship of all the characters and about how it may have been like to live back then at that time. it was more of a few point into that life through various characters. i think it was an amazing follow on from the movie, just a crying shame it was only 4 episodes. have to say this though, how on earth can you say nothing happened when one of the most shocking scenes on tv was at the end of one of the episodes?
