Michael Jackson's This Is It is a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the performer as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts at Londons O2 Arena. Chronicling the months from April through June 2009, this film was produced with the full support of the Estate of Michael Jackson and drawn from more than one hundred hours of behind-the-scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. In raw and candid detail, Michael Jacksons This Is It captures the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work as he creates and perfects his planned final London shows.

Makes you think why money was accepted by the guardians of his apparent victims when, as parents, most people would want justice... :?

Is this the film that cinema goers were told would never be released on disc so they best go & see it at the cinema before it's run was finished ?

No. you cannot do that in America, its called obstruction of justice. No amount of money can buy your way out of court. Do your research & you will see that TWO grand juries refused to allow a CRIMINAL trial; citing LACK of evidence, plus Jordan Chandler REFUSED to testify. THAT is why it never went to court. The settlement was made to avoid a potential 3 year CIVIL trial.

WIKIPEDIA QUOTE: "By January 1, 1994, $2 million had been spent by prosecution departments in California, two grand juries had questioned two hundred witnesses, but Jordan's allegations could not be corroborated."

Don't comment on something you know NOTHING about. You come across as ignorant.

Whether you like MJ or not, either keep you ridiculous assumptions to your self or do some real research: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_child_sexual_abuse_accusations_against_Michael_Jackson

As for the DVD, nice find OP, thanks, heat given & ordered.

I'm chilled.

As for your question about the family accepting the money? I don't know it all but that has to be the million dollar question huh?!

They originally asked for a lot more. They first went to a lawyer before they alerted the police & there is a secret audio recording on you tube of Jordan Chandlers father saying how he is going to take MJ down & how he will never sell another record ever again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlaVZw5h6YE.

It was extortion in my honest opinion. BUT, thats only MY opinion.

As for MJ never selling another record again, well, here we are a MILLION (1,000,000) tickets later & MJ makes his exit from this world knowing he had the fastest selling tickets in the history of live music . . . all at aged 50!
#21
Oh look :

Jackson's insurance company settled with the Chandlers out of court for $22 million

MJ insurers to Chandler family :

Please accept this & maybe your son won't testify against our client in court ?

If you read the article they accepted $22,000,000 to not go any further

ie Never went to court because of 22,000,000 reasons .

Dude, did you even read the Wikipedia article? :?

It didn't go to court because TWO GRAND JURIES decided there was NO EVIDENCE to corroborate Evan or Jordan's allegations.

The settlment was done without Michael Jackson's consent but on his behalf by his insurers. the Chandlers accepted this money on the understanding that MJ was NOT guilty of improper conduct, specifically child molestation.

Michael Jackson always denied any wrong doing & until someone show me evidence to refute this, I believe him.

If that was the case, rich people could simply commit any crime they damn well wish to and never have to worry about the law.

Sorry buddy, but you are not just ignorant, you are naive too.

You cannot simply pay someone off to avoid criminal charges, its called obstruction of justice. Man up & read the FACTS on the Wikipedia article.

Stop spouting cr*p, your making yourself look really bad.

His insurers were sh*t scared to go to court dude , that is why they settled .

Mr Jackson is NOT GUILTY because $22,000,000 told me to say so .

Dude, for the THIRD time today. If there was ANY evidence at all it would have gone to court regardless of how much $$$ MJ's insurers were willing to pay.

Either MJ's insurers paid the Chandler's demand for $22 mil or MJ faced a possible 3 year CIVIL (Money) trial which could have cost them more.

PJR, I'll make this easy for you my friend. In 1991 Michael Jackson signed a 1 billion dollar music agreement with Sony & his 50% stake in the Beatles catalogue was valued at $400 mil. In 1993 he is accused of child molestation & a demand is made for money . . . go figure.

How many people on this thread knew Micheal Jackson personally?

How many knew all of the facts, saw all of the evidence of his court case?

Besides all that, I'm a long time believer that you shouldn't speak ill of the dead.

The main prosecution witness refused to testify dude , there was no case after that because the family took the money , it died a death from that moment onwards .

Get real :-D

Thank you, some common sense at last. I met MJ but never knew him. Very few people did.

But I must query your point about the evidence . . . where was it? Did I miss something?!

It is a VERY roughly edited rehearsal but shows MJ still very much had it, both physically & vocally.

After seeing this, I guess that quote is true: "There is Michael Jackson . . . and then there is everyone else."
