Spotted this whilst browsing the latest catalogue online..the same set is on Amazon for £142.50. Great gift idea, in fact I am thinking about getting this for my dad as he loves history but struggles to read for long periods of time.

A boxed set of 28 CDs of a major Radio 4 series telling the history of Britain from the Roman invasion to the death of Victoria. Narrated by Anna Massey, the series includes extracts from Churchill's "A History of the English-speaking Peoples", read by Paul Eddington and Peter Jeffrey.

Christopher Lee's History of Britain provides the definitive radio account of the events and personalities that have shaped our nation. From foreign invasions and war to economic crises and social revolution, this is a compelling journey through centuries of dramatic change. This handsome gift set contains all ten volumes on 28 CDs as well as an additional CD about the making of the programmes and will make a perfect gift for anyone with an interest in our history or heritage.

Ps if you are searching online to compare prices, the only place selling this complete set is Amazon, don't confuse this with the smaller box sets also available (which are still about 70 quid each anyway!)

When you're posting click on the postcard picture up the top - looks yellowy with some mountains and a stamp in the right corner. It'll open image tages. Put the link in those tags and it'll display as an image.

Click "quote" on my image post above and you'll see what I mean.
