i've registered. thanks. i want to know how much it is for a memory pen with your photos on (though it says you can't print them-i'm sure 'print screen' will work) prices are crazy but it isn't every day you get something that should be £200 for free!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm notoriously tight when it comes to parting with my cash and I know that I would never spend that much on photos, so I know that there's no way on earth that they'd pressure me into buying anything. Just thought it would be nice to have a decent pic with my daughter, even if it is a small one.

easy, have the photo taken at venture, then get it enlarged somewhere cheaper. click do great enlargements for about £8
very expensive as everyone says try to use a local photographer the one i use even come to the house so got photos of pets as well :)

for anyone glasgow and surrouding areas try http://www.dgportraits.co.uk got him to come to the house and got a good deal

the hard sell is really bad. made the mistake of giving them my phone number. we have had the pics done in the past , they are incredible, however, we payed 2,500 for our pictures. thay are wonderful, to treasure for ever, but pricey

You only have to spend what you want. No pressure and the pics are fantastic, even for your £25 you get a nice pic and a great studio experience.
Exercise some self control and all it will cost is £25.
yep ive heard u end up spending over a grand....its ridiculous money
I have had venture photos done, we intended paying quite a bit of money to have professional photos think in the end we spent over 1k but the photos look really good and it was a fun night...perhaps not a good deal for the £25 print but definitly worth considering if people are looking to pay quite a bit for photos.
They reel you in, give you a piddly little photo for the £25 then try to convince you to spend upwards of £500 on a proper portrait. Better taking a good photo yourself and getting it mounted on canvas for this money.

I am a qualified photographer. I once went to Olan Mills for an interview, just to see how bad they really were. i pretended that I had no experience. They said that that was fine - they would just teach me the poses to put kids in... no skill required at all!

I have had 3 sets of venture photos done in the last 7 years. The 1st 2 times i just brought the ones that came with the package. The last time we spent a lot - but that was hubby's 30th prezzie. He wanted some nice pics of the 2 of us.

I have NEVER had the hard sell from them & really rate them as photographers.
i will have to look out for their stall, would like a photo of my kids with the cat, already got one with the dog in it
Another way of getting these vouchers is to enter the 'competition' they have at their display stands in shopping centres - you will always win a photo session with free 7x5" photo. You can 'win' one of these once a year.
As for the product - it's really good. They get good photographers have AMAZING studio spaces and even have colour now :) They don't pay their photographers on commission, so it's not a hard sale at all - in fact if you ask me it's pretty soft. We've occasionally traded up to the 8x10 for an extra £50, but generally we've come away with an annual 7x5.
We got some amazing pictures from Venture, but they always give these vouchers away. We got a £125 free voucher in our local shopping centre. Reason becasue the cheapest picture is over £200 and they try to presure sell you to spend well over £1000. If you look around in baby shows in your area you will find equally as good photographers for half this price or cheaper.
Venture is a franchise so your expensive pictures are paying loads of different commissions.

We used to use Olan Mills and bought the kids package for a few expectant mothers. The last one was unable to use it though because olan mills went into administration december/january 06/07

Olan Mills have been back for a while now, we had a watch me grow plan when they went into administration and used it when they reopened no problem
