Good info http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii78/chesso_photos/animated%20smilies/hukdthumbsup2.gif

Just a couple of points though - Impatiens and busy lizzies are the same thing. There aren't any in the list ^^, nor marigolds.
Petunia Tidal Wave are not your 'ordinary' petunias. (TBH I'm not all that keen on most petunias but I like the frilly ones like 'Priscilla'.)

I'm a bit surprised to see this, although snowtiger has said the same. I have always found their customer service to be excellent. On the times when I have got poor plants, like the Fuchsias 'Eruption' that I got the other week, they have always replaced and apologised promptly.

BTW - there is a gardening thread in misc for all to join in. over the garden fence

My offer for the flower ball was £7.99 plus free dvd. Not being picky I was pondering ordering a couple. I did laugh at their inset image of it propped between two bricks though.

Loved the gardening thread - I want the black velvet petunias!

Haha ... classy re the bricks!
Yes, you are right...mistake by me. ...I have put it right. Thank you.
There may be more errors.

Kaks probably has a link for the petunias; you could ask in the gardening thread. She is always super helpful.

I find the site very hard to navigate. I can't reach this page if entering via top cashback. Any clues?

I know that you have to go through this link to get there but have you tried putting what you want in your basketand then closing and going back there through TCB, not forgetting the free delivery code ?

I have to say it ...'Fascinating.'

I've often found that no cashback is forthcoming with many merchants when doing this, but in the absence of another plan, I may well give it a try.

Darn. I just ordered last night...

I really like the look of the stand but well put off by the bricks! Anyone else ever got one?
Also I am a total noob to gardening, what flowers variety would work? And is it like planting a normal pot with compost or do i need something else
#11
I was going to order some plants last week, but my browser (Chrome) flashed up a warning that the checkout page was not secure and sure enough the address bar was http not https, so I didn't enter any payment details and closed the page. Anyone else with a different browser noticed this?

Troughs would do the job of the bricks! I haven't ever had a 'ball' instead of a hanging basket but it's pretty much the same - hanging basket compost and plants. In the pic they have busy lizzies.

I have IE8 and I haven't had any not safe messages. i don't know it the browser itself leads to unsafety. I have ordered so many times from T&M - I dread to think - without any problems.

Yep have to admit it put me of a little too, but then I found this on Van Meuwen and felt much better <3 although not sure how to prop it up. Perhaps broken bricks, pots etc topped up with soil. VM say full instructions included, I'm guessing it's the same for T&M

Thanks Chesso for your advice - do you need linings or anything? or is it as simple as filling with compost and planting the seeds? have to admit i'm a little confused as to how you plant the seeds at 360 degrees - but sure the dvd would sort that out!

Do you think of any of the flowers on offer above would work (times are tight!)

Thanks for your efforts in finding that chesso
quick questions though
- what would it look like after summer is over - is it a plant that will last the winter with some greenery,or will it all die and just look like the somewhat strange unplanted ball?
- next year - would it regenerate? or would i need to buy plugs again
- also it seems from the video that you linked that you'd only need about 20 of these to fill the basket - or have I got that wrong? (might get two!)
- does the fabric that they use on the ball need replacing every year?

lol
The ball material will last a good few years, I would think.

Busy lizzies will flower all summer and then die off. You would need to buy plugs again next year, although by next year you may have the gardening bug and decide to grow your own from seed. More likely you'll be able to find some bargains if you are looking from February!

You could plant the ball for winter when the busy lizzies have finished, with ivy or some such.

Yes, I think that there are 24 planting pockets per ball. These particular plug plants are only little, you can pot the rest into trays or tray insets and then plant them out into the garden or put them into pots or into a pot that you have put the stand of the flower ball into.

Thank you. I really hate paying for postage - it's a personal thing! May wait and see if anything comes up.

OMG YAY!!! Just received an email all postage free from NOW till Monday. My basket now shows £0 postage. Guess I am pushing it trying the 10% code. I wonder if they read my post!

Yes, T&M bought van Meuwen last year, I think.

sure - will head over there - can i ask a favour too - one of my shrubs in the back garden seems to have some disease on it - if i upload some photos somewhere will you have a look and give me some advice - don't want it to spread anywhere - but totally against use of chemicals so may just have to cut it down (have been doing some research about spraying on soap and bicarb and things like that - but i want to know whats wrong first)

Pop pics in the gardening thread and I'm sure that someone will have some good advice. Try to get a close up as well as an overall view.
