The Thor Blu-ray is based on one of Marvel Comic’s most classic and well loved characters, Thor. The film follows Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) attempts to gain entry back into his kingdom after his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins), banishes him to Earth. New to Earth, Thor teams up with a scientist named Jane (Natalie Portman) and seeks a way to get back into his kingdom. Unaware of the ill fate his home will be subject to if he does not succeed, will Thor be too late? The Thor Blu-ray is a brilliant watch for all those who love classics such as Spider-Man and Batman, and will not leave you disappointed.

Good price for a new release but unfortunately it's a crap film. Nowhere near the quality of the Spiderman and Batman films. Except maybe Batman and Robin.

I disagree. In comparison with Spider-man's origin story this is easily on a par. It's better than Spider-man 3 by a distance, but doesn't quite compare to Spider-man 2.

It's not a Batman or an Iron Man, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I fancy seeing this but the reviews are very mixed. Still, excellent price for a new release triple play film.

Ordered this with PiratesOTC, and Green Lantern with this code the other day, so £13.30 each. Not seen any of them yet, horrible feeling I'm looking at 3 duff films.

But Natalie Portman in HD, complaining? No.

Awful film, and horrendously cheesy. God knows what Natalie Portman was thinking when she signed up for it.

Can't bring myself to watch it but the reviews are surprisingly good.

Each to their own, but i thought it was a poor film, and the kids were not that impressed either.

Thanks for this, ordered. If it's as bad as you guys are saying, I'll just sell it after I've watched it. Easy.

very good film, to each their own, but well worth a try. Heat added.

I really enjoyed this, wasn't expecting too, quite funny in places.

A well executed movie, as Thor is considered the weakest source material of pretty much all superhero/comic book characters recently. Certainly better than Green Lantern, Iron Man 2, The Hulk movies and Superman Returns.

Brannagh cast all roles superbly, creates a rich world and exceeds expectations in this. Portman is admittedly weak, but she's not really the focus is she? A good purchase at this price.

Anyone who disagrees gets a smack from my might Mjolnir !

Agreed, at that point it went from epic superhero film to cheesy predictable comedy. I still enjoyed the film overall and will pick it up when it hits the £6-£7 mark.

It wasn't amazing and it wasn't rubbish. It's one of those movies that you would watch to pass the time. Knowing a little history about the Norse helps also.

    Thanks. Ordered. I liked it!

I'll completely forgive a film for a slightly stilted script (which would be my main criticism of Thor), for absolutely stunning visual design, which this film has by the bucket-load.

It looks gorgeous in HD as well (the CGI and Natalie Portman, of course).

    EDIT: Voted hot, of course!

Very good film if you're into this genre(comics/action), thought ot was well done, not one for the movie buffs admittedly but leave ur brain at the door, give it a well earned rest & enjoy.
