Thornton's Mini Caramel Shortcakes £1
in Asda stores today

TASTE TEST
I found them very sweet, but quite crumbly but very moreish..
Its not the sort of product that should be opened when you are on your own..as once you've started its dificult to stop.
Im sure if you like your caramel firm you could pop them in the fridge,
The shortcake biscuit base is quite smooth, very buttery and REALLY sweet and almost melts in your mouth.. Its more like a digestive taste than a shortcake.
There is a thick layer of caramel which is very sweet.

Are these packs of 2? If so, then Tesco have had them at 93p for ages...standard price I think. They are YUMMY!

Looks as if its 12 mini from the image.

Also Lidl and Aldi are a good place to buy caramel shortcakes but haven't checked the price recently due to me trying to fit back into my jeans. but I'm salivating with the fond memories I have.

Thorntons are the best ones around. Have tried Asda, Tesco & Morrisons own but these pale in comparison. Great for 'me' moments - not for kids though - they can make do with supermarkets own brand!

I'm pretty sure my local co-op store had a similar offer for these the other week, 2 for £2 - not sure if that's still the case.

You're absolutely right - the Lidl ones are actually much nicer than the Thorntons ones (as well as being cheaper).

These are £1 for 12 mini ones in Sainsbury's, too - along with the 12 chocolate brownies and 5 pack chocolate cake bars.

The last ones are most lush :-D
