Found these in the Romford Roneo Corner Tesco this morning. Loads on the shortdated shelf.
Only point of concern - DO NOT USE AFTER 28 Feb 2011 - but I doubt they'll last that long - at least not in this house!

"DO NOT USE AFTER 28 Feb 2011?"

Odd statement for them to put onto the chocs? Are they perfectly edible on the 28th at 11.59pm but then explode or rot at 00.01 on the 1st March? I can understand best before, or use by, but a bit of an alarming message really.

Good spot though, and I agree, they wouldnt last long in our house either.

Shame I didnt live in Romford, will check in our local though.

Hot deal but what a bizarre statement!
They will be BB dated which are perfectly acceptable to use for a while afterwards.

How is this a hot deal?
Hundreds of products are reduced everyday in stores if they are short dated.
This site would crash if we all posted them.

Sorry you disagree, but I thought it worth pointing out to other members and obviously, a few agreed enough to vote it hot.

"Best before" can be eaten ANY TIME after without problem, the just might not look or taste as good, but WILL NOT HARM you.

It's the "Use by" you have to be careful with.
