Hot from me, just going to look for a room to crash in after some nights out early next year. £9 is an absolute bargain - I normally end up in the dirty flaky room overlooking the building site, but they've set my expectations now and I still go back!

Does anyone know if there are any t&c's against doing 2 seperate bookings to get £9 for each room, as we would need 2 rooms?

When I have booked consecutive nights with different costs I book them separately as they tend to charge both night at the higher price if booked together.

looking at away fixtures for the rest of the season now... £9 is hot!

the OH booked this last night as we are off to Dublin next year for a couple of days, cant beat €38 for 2 nights really.

Also booked some ryanair flights that come to £64 return for 2 people, so thats 2 nights in dublin and return flights for 2 people for around £100 all in, quite cheap really :)

Having never used them, what are they like? Any caramelised grout in the bathroom like the one in Holiday Inn in Eastleigh? O

Stayed in travelodge last month (£9 from last sale). Room was newly decorated, had LCD tv etc.

Paid for breakfast too, but that was the only downer. Not very nice. Just rebooked for valentines day. Worth it just for the free parking lol.

good price for the hotel but you paid way to much for the flights. Anyway you need to make it as cheap as poss' going to Dublin as they rob you blind when over there.

Saw this too late but went on the website and some £9 rooms were "there"......great I thought !

But...............

It still shows a £9 room as available but when you click to book it, there is only a £29 or £39 room available. :?......or in one case a £55 room.

I am guessing the £9 rooms have sold out (sometimes there is only 1 per hotel) and there is a time lag issue.

Thanks to the OP just booked Luton for the night before our surprise trip to Disneyland Paris.

Sorry to say our experience of travelodge has been dissapointing to say the least. The places we have been are run by a manager who is never available and kids who invite there friends to doss around the hotel drinking tea. Just my opinion and i know it dont count for much but never again for me.

Thankss. :)

I stayed in the Birmingham central one... there were stains :S! £9 is still a good deal is you just need to crash somewhere for the night though.. and I think the Birmingham central one does have a bad rep. I'm glad I didn't pay normal prices last time!!

How can you say that this poster paid too much for flights? You've no idea where they are flying from and the day of the week! If you can find cheaper than £59 for 2 at the moment then i'd be surprised as the current Ryanair £5 deal only runs until 28th Feb and the £9 rooms at travelodge don't start until some time in March...

Travelodge sale rooms go from 1st of February, not some time in March. Ryanair as you say at the moment have £5 flights, they have already released these same flights at £1 earlier in the year and will do so again in the next week or two.

It was more a tongue in cheek statement about the flights if i am honest as £16 each return is not a bad price, (actually an excellent price) but still available cheaper if you know when. ;-)

They added these rooms yesterday evening. I posted about it on the other Travelodge thread, as I was able to get some really good deals.

Bit of a swiz as some hotels they say have £9 room never discount that far and I'd guess that £19 was about their bottom starting price anyway so no saving at all !

For sure I wouldn't pay their asking price at some places but for £9-19 I would as there is no alternative at that price.

I was looking at a room for £9. Looked back the next day, and it was £19. Looked back again today and it was £22.

Flaming luck...

It looks like they change the date on the 2nd release because the original release was:

Travelodge prices are per room, not per person. £9 rates can only be booked online at www.travelodge.co.uk and are available on a first come, first served basis. £9 rooms are available for stays at selected hotels on selected nights between 21 March and 6 June 2010. £9 rooms are 3% of total rooms available during these dates. £9 rates must be paid for by a credit or debit card at the time of booking and cannot be refunded. Booking fee applicable for credit card payments, no charge for debit card payments.

Also, Dublin isn't in the £5 offer from some airports. For example, Edinburgh.

You pointed out the £1 flights earlier in the year (about a month ago actually) but £9 travelodge rooms weren't available and in a few weeks if Ryanair release more flights then the £9 rooms wouldn't be available.

The chances of someone getting £1 flights and £9 rooms, whilst possible, are very very slim.
