can THQ afford to give stuff away for free with the situation there in?
I think they have managed to raise their profile a lot recently which has raised their stock value nicely.
I really hope this PR thing works as I love THQ games! My gaming library wouldn't be nearly as comical if it wasnt for saints row 2 & 3!

Not Mac.
Correct, if your willing to pay a silly amount for a machine, prepare to pay silly amounts for games ;)
You're right. But I'd rather pay high for a laptop that isn't built like a **** house.

Any idea if any of the THQ deals will redeem on Steam?
THQ are really bad for their downloads and they have that crap of your download wil expire after a month unless you buy extended download something.

Side thing that I need a little help with if that's okay, since you posted the THQ deals, I guess you picked up the free Power Sword but how do you download it? Are you supposed to just put the code in on Steam or what?
I've followed their instructions but it doesn't work.
maybe one post with all the thq deals would have been better ;)

Don't bother paying the extra, it activates on Steam!

Awesome!
Hmmm, have to pay an extra £3.66 if you want to be able to re-download your purchase, only lasts 2 yrs at which point i guess you would have to re-purchase if you haven't got it stored.
Great game and well worth 32. I already have it but can strongly recommend getting it :)
This game pack is a steal considering Forged Alliance is the best in the entire series.

Yea Last Light was delayed from a 2012 release to Spring 2013
Last I heard, Last Light had been put on the development back burner. Recently THQ has hit some hard times and I wouldn't advise ordering that particular title.
these are good deals
I can only see the games listed for offer...where's the "And a lot more!"? Have not looked hard enough. Heat for telling me about Metro: Last Light, though :D

Giving it a go. For 3 coins it can't be bad.
i like cod better
Highway72
Homefront has superior multiplayer to any of the COD series, maps are huge and far better designed for starters, PC's Dx11 graphics are way better as are the weapons/perks/gear/drones/vehicles... the bad reviews were mainly for the single player campaign... but who buys a multiplayer game for that anyway??? easily worth the money and as good as fuels of war, another totally underated game from same team. I'd wager most of the COD fags hated this because to can go prone and cover actually has a point. Most of the weapons are very accurate.... with far less unrealistic bullet spread than most games about.

As far as i'm concerned it's a toss between Homefront and Battlefield for best FPS on PC.

The console version does look like crap agreed,
but it's a much better game than MW2, DX11 graphics on PC look pretty good and certainly much better than any of the Call Of Duty games.

MW2 is a steaming pile of crap, and on PC with DX11 and all graphics up i said Homefront LOOKS better than COD in general.

It's agood looking game, it only takes about 3 hours max to complete - it's worth the £3.75 easily

But does it cost extra with the money having to be transfered abroad?

looks like you can use paypal anyway which doesn't incur a direct charge just a slight skim due to transfer rate being bit below actual.
But does it cost extra with the money having to be transfered abroad?
Some of these games will be Steam keys, right? So you shouldn't have to download from the US.

I hate retailer specific pre-order bonuses.

Also, is "free upgrade to the limited edition" just a new way of saying free pre-order bonus?

No, its a new way of saying "stuff meant for the game that we are going to sell to you seperately, and try and make it sound like you are getting something free by preordering"

I think you need to be more specific as to which games have been focused on less due to a greater focus being placed on that game's DLC. DLC is great, it creates longevity in a title and can massively extends the life of a game. FF Xiii-2, for example, has loads of DLC out and planned but I wouldn't say that the game is lacking as a result.

I would say that this is a pre-order bonus. There is no harm in incentivising a purchase. I would rather get free DLC than nothing.
Would be nice to get Metro2033, already preorder mine from THQ for £14
Thanks for the update on free upgrade
Good post but I will wait til this is £10 new and the dlc the weekly special.

£15 :)! Lol

First game was brilliant! I buy so many games new but not sure about this at £40!

for the sake of £1.70? if buying get it from thq for the full experience, if it was a bigger saving then might be worth considering but not for £1.70

Horses for courses - most pre-order DLC tends to be a bit pointless in my experience (in fact most DLC tends to be!!) but it's an option...

its not just the pre-order dlc tho thats included, its the season pass for future which is 3 story missions due over the next 12 months.

If you want to save a bit more and don't mind doing without the DLC, Green Man Gaming are cheaper for just the game

Go here - http://www.greenmangaming.co.uk/games/action/saints-row-the-third/

and enter code FIFTY-SAINT-XMASS - good from the 23rd-26th December.

£13.29 - but doesn't include the DLC which th THQ deal does so it's your call.

Word of warning it's a very poor port, really buggy & has some weird issues with the speed of the game.
It's been abandoned by the developers but I think there's fan made patch that you can download to fix some of the issues.

I got it last night - you can download straight from Steam. They give you the serial numbers that you just enter on steam (1 for the game, 1 for the Genki preorder stuff and 1 for the season pass).
There is a download option but didnt try it.
The download insurance is pointless esp with Steam involved.
Is this actually downloadable from Steam as well? I have no desire at all to actually download it from THQ as their download manager is apparently dreadful, and to add insult to injury they want you to pay £3.73 to be allowed to download it again during the next two years. Thanks, but no thanks.
