This is just a heads up, the offer is NOT available until Friday. There is currently a $12 sale on this week anyway but if you wait until Friday all T's will be $9 each but just for 24hours.

Here's the blurb from their email:

All tees will be $9 for 24 hours only (Starts 11/27 12:01 am CT, ends 11/27 11:59 pm CT)*! So make sure you've got all your holiday gift choices all lined up and ready to go, fire up the Internet early in the mornin', and let the deals begin!

I think you still need to keep your order below £18 (roughly $30 but please check exchange rates before ordering) to avoid customs charges. The £18 limit is the value of your order before shipping costs, the shipping is not taken into consideration for import tax.

Also, I believe you can add stuff to your cart now and when you log back in once the $9 sale starts on Friday the items will still be there but at the lower sale price. This might be worth doing as often with Threadless sales the common sizes go quickly.

How much would shipping be?

How much would shipping be?

I think it depends on your order, run an order through and see what it comes up with. The last order I placed was for 4 kids T's and I paid about $10 for shipping via International Economy service which took about 2 weeks to arrive.
#3
took about 3 weeks last time I order using the economy service - decent quality, original shirts anyway
#4
I agree that the t-shorts are generally good quality. Just a word of warning re shipping though. I have seen in other Threadless posts that if you buy too much you will get stung by the tax man (import duty I think). About 4 t-shirts seems to be the recommended limit.
#5
I bought 2 last time this offer was on, postage was $9 so $27 in total, took about 4 weeks and no tax paid - lovely t-shirts.
#6
I ordered 4 tickets on Monday night paid $26 dollars for UPS shipping (its only 11 dollars more than economy) and the T shirts arrived on Wednesday morning so that was pretty quick!

Got stung with £7 custom charges though :o(
#7
On this offer you should be fine placing an order for three $9 t-shirts without risking the wrath of customs. Postage on that seems to be $15 by cheapest method. That's three decent t-shirts for about £27, not too shabby.
#8
I used to love Threadless and I have dozens off there tshirts. But I havent brought any in a while though, cos yes, the shipping costs are pretty nasty.
#9
I just bought 3 shirts, cheapest shipping was $9. Fantastic original shirts, I've bought loads, great quality & they wash really well.
#10
Ordered 3!

Nice one.
#11
I thought the idea of this site is for the UK ??
#12
It's still a hot deal for the UK, paying about £27 for three good quality original t-shirts which would probably cost about £15 each in somewhere like Topman.
#13
Agreed.
Threadless make the most original designs for any T-Shirts - which is great if you don't want to be a Top Man/River Island/H&M/Urban Outfitters clone.

This is a hot deal - I've never had any problems with my orders accruing import tax - I always ensure I buy threee at a time and mark them as a 'gift' with a gift message (free). Just do multiples of threes!
#14
Here in Mauritius, we've got great t-shirt brands as well (IV Play, Island Style, Billabong, Fast Forward). Pity no one came up with a Threadless type idea,
#15
For someone who normally wears a UK large. What size would I get?

Cheers!

Only problem is that so many people now buy from threadless it is almost worse. Hands up if you haven't seen this one out and about.

The US large is comparable to the UK one to be honest.

I tend to buy UK large and find that the Threadless large ones tend to be a nice fit. They aren't baggy, but not too tight either. I'm 6ft, 36" waist and a minor beer gut (real treat for the ladies, lol)

Thanks sibeer and Hadouken! :)

Got delivery of two T shirts this week from free shipping offer. All good with product but despite $30 wriiten on packaging which at time I ordered was £17.87 got charged £2.50 Vat from customs and £8.50 Royal Mail handling charge so be aware. I may have just been unlucky, however Royal Mail were helpful and said to phone customs but number continuously engaged. As said previously, very pleased with product.

It is actually better value to buy in multiples of 2 rather than 3. Eg If buying six and you want to avoid customs, buy three lots of two rather than two lots of three.

Shipping for 2 (or just 1) is $9, for 3 it's $15.

I know what you mean. I ordered some a few months ago. A couple of days later I saw three or four people in town wearing exactly the same T-shirt, then saw the same one again on my neighbour's washing line.

I've just bought 3 lots of 3 and they all had $9 shipping, not $15.

OK, they've changed it. It used to be $15 for three.

I got charged $15 for shipping three a little earlier today :x

Just for info I beleive that to trigger customs charges you're purchase has to be more than £18 which today according to XE.com is about $28. So spend less than $28 it should be fine.

I assume shipping costs aren't included in your allowance?
#28
Shipping cost shouldn't be included in your allowance.

The FX rate you pay or is in affect at the time has no bearing on what HMRC base it on, you need to check out their website for the rates running in the month you expect the goods to arrive...

Customs only look at the value of what you have ordered the shipping cost doesn't matter as it's not part of the £18 allowance. So just order less than £18 (approx $28) worth of T's and regardless of what your shipping cost comes to you should be okay.

Just ordered 4 Tees in 2 "gifts" of 2 each with the 5-10 business day shipping for $62 which is just under £9 each - brilliant, cheers OP!
#31
I think in this case, with the tshirts being $9 each, NOT to mark them as gift items.

As the billing information isn't included in the package if you do mark it as a gift - which means if it does get picked up by customs, they may rate the items more expensive than £6 each.

I've been a regular customer with Threadless and only ever been hit by customs once (my first order, i ordered 5 shirts - $82 total - i got stung £45 by customs and royal mail handling charges :()

I NEVER order more than 4 tshirts max per delivery now and i've been fine since :)
#32
Thanks, got the shirt I've been wanting :) Can't wait to wear it! Tried to find a code, but no sucess.

Ah, good point - now I'm worried :(

Although, only 2 T-shirts in each package... fingers crossed they don't get questioned then...

Thanks. Just ordered 3x3 :)

Thanks for this. Just ordered 2 tees for my fashion mad nephew for xmas :)

Is this the case for anyone else?

Just about to checkout with my order and the shipping for 3 tshirts is coming up at $15. Are you sure it's meant to be $9?
