Threadless is having another sale - all t-shirts $10 although you can find some for $5 as well. In my experience the t-shirt quality is a bit hit-and-miss although some of the designs are quite nice.

I believe that you want to keep it under £18, i.e., $25. I have only ever ordered 2 or 3 t-shirts in one go and have never had problems.

For March 2011, you need to keep the amount spent to $28.87 or less (excluding shipping fees) to be guaranteed not to incur any import tax.
#4
what about the delivery charges?how much are they?
#5
In the past, ordering 3 t-shirts has cost me $9 delivery.

Yes, I just ordered 3 t-shirts and it was $9 delivery. The t-shirts were $25 before delivery so I don't expect to be hit with any taxes or duty.
#8
Argh, want to order a hoody but it's $30 excluding delivery charge.

Do I run the risk?..
#9
love Threadless but the quality has not been so good the past year IMO, very thin cotton, HOT for $10 though
#10
Ah this is great!! Yeah keep it below 28 bucks or so cos I got hit with an unexpected £13 import tax last time I got some tees for here.
#11
hoodies also £10
#12
whats the sizing like with these.

is this really that good a deal, I'm sure it's easy to get plain t-shirts of equal quality for £2-£3 each
the only people who pay more for tshirts are those who are chavs who think brand name = better quality
or people who are so insecure that they need to have some sort of corny "joke" printed on it

Or people that actually #shock# like the t-shirts?

I read a long time ago that overseas sites weren't allowed on HUKD....? A friend had his deal deleted for being from an overseas site -- a site that sold exclusive items that weren't available locally, like Threadless.

When they do these $5 sales I normally buy 5 (==$25). The shipping is $15.
I have done this multiple times and never had to pay any duties.

The shirt quality is not as good as it used to be, and the sizing can be variable, but the prints are usually high quality.

I don't think it's 'insecure' to want to wear a t-shirt with a relatively unique design - not everyone wants to wear a plain primark shirt just because it's only £2...
#16
Dont risk it. I bought from these the other month and ended up paying £13 import tax, gutted..

Nah, a large proportion of the deals posted on here are overseas companies, bud. Loads of Jersey, a fair number from Hong Kong, and a smattering from everywhere else.

Plus a lot of banks here their FX rates are gash and incur transaction charges. It is tempting though a lot of times!

Went for this deal this time last year import tax was about £12.50, even tried the its a sample trick didn't work. Still outstanding value and they fit great!

Thought for a minute I had mistakenly logged onto hotusdeals.

The quality isn't always brilliant but these are nice, cheapish shirts that generally feature a nice selection of designs you can't source in the the UK. Voted hot.

Threadless is on the exception list for overseas deals.

Bought a couple from Threadless in the past, but just don't like any of the designs they have anymore. Think it has gone downhill in the past couple of years.

Agreed! I was having a browse and none of the designs looked good to me. And from what people are saying the quality of cotton has reduced also.

Do they not use American Apparel shirts anymore?
#25
I just purchased 3 shirts 2x$10 and 1x$5 shirts shipping came to $15 and the rate conversion ended up being £25 so not a bad deal for 3 shirts
#26
ordered a couple, can't grumble for £18

something different

Just ordered 7 tee's, $70 plus $30 shipping. Paid extra on the shipping, cos it was only $2 to go from 3 weeks, to 5 days, and then another $1.50 to go to 3 days...or something like that anyway. Never ordered from the States before, and I know I will hit this tax you guys are talking about, how do I go about paying that?

I'm sure everyone is aware you can buy plain t-shirts for a few quid..... but your comment about " the only people who buy t-shirts are insecure and chavs " is totally stupid. There are no chav t-shirts on the Threadless site. btw... try looking first!... and why shouldn't someone wear a t-shirt if they want to?? There are however, some extremely fashionable and different t-shirts on there. Perhaps you should look before you so readily criticise?????

As others have mentioned, quality may have dropped a little over the last couple of years...but these are certainly as good quality as some of the £20 and upwards stuff from generic UK shops.... while looking different, and certainly of good enough quality to last the summer... which is what matters to most buyers!!

You stick to your Primark plain tees, eh??? ;-) It's all good..... :-) and if that's what makes you happy...then I'm happy for you.

Well looking at our lovely American friends, I'd guess their size small would be our extra large.

there's a sizing chart on the site, just look on any t-shirt's page

my cart keeps timing out. i might just sack it off as there were only a couple of designs i really liked.

and lol at the fool who only wears plain t shirts. i spose you only eat microwave burgers cos why pay more for tasty food. and spend your holidays sitting in your fetid dolepit cos you can look at pictures of other places on the internet
