The USP here for me is that the magazine includes a cover DVD packed with software - usually "full products" as well.

* Direct Debit - 3 issues for £1 followed by £19.99 every 6 issues

*** once the initial £1.00 has been taken via DD, just cancel it and job's a good'un ***

PC Pro is the UK's biggest selling PC monthly magazine and your source of professional IT news, reviews and tests. With every issue of the DVD edition you'll get free software applications and exclusive content!

This offer has been going for years. I have subscribed for the 3 months subscription at least 6 times now. In fact i have the latest issue in front of me now. Always remember to cancel the direct debit after it has been taken and use Quidco for 15% on all orders.

Going to sound really stupid now! But as you can see I'm a newbie here (although spent and saved loads already "Thanks All" ) and have seen this quidco mentioned quite a lot, but cant seem to work out what it is. Can someone give me a really basic answer as to what it is and how it works. Much appreciated.

Also jpieter, what date is the DD taken from the magazine company do you have any idea?

Thanks Jaycee

Basically; they get money from retailers for attracting your spend their way. They give you this back (mostly). They keep the first £5 you earn.

The other big site is topcashback and they don't keep the first £5.

Both are worth joining if you would be spending the money anyway.

To use cashback you log onto the cashback site then search for the retailer you want, follow their link and some months later you get paid a percentage of the sale price.

Yes me too, the only thing you need to be careful of is the long lead time between order and mag. If not careful you can either end up with dupes or missing a month.

Very good mag btw.

So when the first £1 is taken do you just cancel the DD at your bank end and not worry about doing anything on the website?

In the left hand menu select 'payments'
the scroll down a bit and select 'View or cancel existing Direct Debits'
Select which DD you want to cancel so it highlights it in purple then select 'cancel DD'

Subscribed yesterday was going to post but beat me to it. Hot!

FYI: I can confirm you can subscribe via the Tesco Clubcard Deals offer (£16 of them) - renewed my existing paid PC Pro DVD edition with a year's worth of PC Pro DVD editions - just had the first of them delivered today.

Content to get £40 of mag sub for £16 of vouchers although obviously that is only 2.5x value, whereas some deals can be 4x !
