Just spoken to three re my mobile broadband dongle, and they have said a new promo is running for anyone who already has an existing mobile pay monthly tariff (sim only also included).
If you take out a pay monthly mobile broadband dongle (1 month contracts included), three will give you 25% off the monthly line rental for the duration of the contract.
Bought down my £15 a month dongle to £11.25.

If you already have both of the above, and either your mobile broadband contract is coming to an end, or you are on a 1 month contract, then the 25% discount can be applied at the start of the new contract, or the start of the new month respectively.

Why make it cold? Its a good deal!
Get the "one" plan simcard for £15, mobile broadband for £11.25, and you can effectively do away with your land line and fixed broadband connection for just £26.25 a month.
I've been getting 5mbps download since I joined them a few weeks back.

Oh well, cant please everyone..

People may be voting cold as three always have this and similar deals running. Trouble is, they rarely publicise them so this was well worth mentioning IMO. 8)

yes but there is still the fair use policy so go over it and get hammered with excess charges that get taken out of your bank account

Fair use policy with landlines as well if you care to check your small print..

I get 15GB "fair use" on my 3 mobile dongle for £11.25.

BT charge £13.99 a month for their broadband with only a 10GB fair use + you have to spend £9.49 on line rental + you are locked into them for 18 months..

No contest really!

Just took out a mobile broadband contract the other day with 3. £15 a month for 5GB and a free USB modem.

25% off like the OP says as it clearly states this on the website and also used the £3 monthly discount promo code bringing the price down to £8.25 a month.

Called to confirm the price once I received the order email and 3 says no, you can only have one discount on your order. Now I know this is mince based on previous contracts I had and also current mobile phone contracts that I have with them!

Anyhoo, long story short is that they werent honouring the discounts so I cancelled. Waste of time. Wouldnt have minded but the £3 discount was acknowledged and accepted online and they said it was valid over the phone, but it also has a part on the website separate on the order where you can enter your 3 mobile number so it recognises you as a current 3 customer and clearly states that you should get 25% discount!!!!

3 customer services and billing are truly crap and havent the foggiest about their promotions.

Im cirtain you will find that, like most vouchers, discounts and coupons, you can only use one per transaction.... I cant walk into my local pizza hut, take a meal deal, and then use a £10 off voucher. Its one or the other! not both!

Anyway, unsure what your ranting has to do with this deal? If everyone is already aware of it, fair enough! I've been with three since 2007 and it was news to me..

PS The 25% discount is not valid on CURRENT contracts, its on NEW contracts as I have quite clearly written! One of the bonuses of having a 1 month contract is that you can chop and change if you want to, simply move to a different contract with one month's notice.
No point throwing your toys out of the pram because they wont change their terms and conditions for you...

thanks for your insightful follow up, i'm sure it will be useful to someone out there. If you check the order form on the three website it clearly states 25% discount for mobile broadband contracts for existing customers. It is a separate box to enter your 3 mobile number. There is also a separate promo code box.

So.....to reply your sensitive response, if you were only allowed one discount a) where does it state this and b) whats the purpose of having 2 separate promotion boxes if you are only allowed one.

I'm sure you will have all the answers and I'm just sitting here in anticipation. X)

25% discount when you buy a 3 mobile contract is clearly a promotional discount, the terms of which are stated, it also clearly states that it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Like many these days you dont read terms and conditions, then blame others for your ignorance.

Existing customers can always phone up and get a whacking great 50% off mobile BB with Three - they always always do this. Some HUKD'ers might remember the 50% link which didn't even verify your Three mobile number a year or so ago. Long gone are those days, but the call centres are still soft.

That sounds like a good deal. Think I will try that instead. 50% is much better than 25%! Cant hurt to try.

Thanks for the help.

as I remember the 50% off was only for 18+ month contracts.
Wouldn't apply on 1 month contracts.

my mob bb deal has come to end of 18mth contract, been paying £7.50 per mth for 5gb limit (half price for term) phoned up to cancel and they have offered me a new 15.6" screen laptop compaq cq62 and new 7.2mbps dongle ZTE MF112. 24 mth contract £20 per month (usually £30 on 15gb - no monthly option for 5gb), and free dongle and waived the usual £29.99 upfront cost. works out £480 for the term, and for a laptop that has a rrp of £400 not bad. any opinions....
