Once you have watched each movie, all you need to do is return it in the prepaid envelope and your next choice will soon be making its way to you. You can pick as many titles as you like, but if you get stuck, perhaps a quick browse through the Top 50 rentals, which includes titles such as Toy Story 3 and the Oscar-winning Hurt Locker, might help you get the ball rolling.

Just coming to the end of the same 3 month deal. Unlike with some - the DVD's arrive superfast. One i posted back yesterday as arrived today (they email you) and the next will probably be out within 24 hours (they email you to say what title is on its way). Defo worth the money. Go for it.

Is this a repackaged Lovefilm, or a different provider?

Pretty sure they arn't, but couldn't swear on it. I've used everyone going, and you can usually tell when they are lovefilm.

The others seem to drag their feet posting dvd's out too

I have heard that the they are part of the empire movie rentals. Has anyone who has used the matchmakers 2 month offer from empire, tried using this one?

They are a different supplier, they used to be called MyMovieStream, they also provide the Lidl DVD rental service and a few others.

From personal experience I wouldn't touch them again with somebody else's bargepole

If it's not Lovefilm, I'll give it a shot!
Not joined Groupon yet, thought it was all based on your nearest city - i.e. if you don't live anywhere near a city, you're stuffed. Guess I was wrong.

If you think lovefilm are bad, I wouldn't go anywhere near these guys. I first used them when thy were mymoviestream. The coverage is poor compared to lovefilm. When you are on a trial, you get a few top titles on your list. As soon as you subscribe, you won't get titles that are popular. They just don't have many copies of in demand DVDs. They will send you stuff from way down your list. Turnaround time is also much slower than lovefilm.

For the price, this isn't too bad. In fact, I took the offer about six months ago (when they were outnow), when they did the same £5 for 3 months. I cancelled 10 weeks into the trial, to be sure that I did not get charged, and the account was only closed with two days to spare. During the trial (it is a one-disc-at-a-time trial), I managed to get 10 discs, so one per week. That was receiving them and sending them back the same day. They are supposedly first class mail, so 2 days in the post for there and back. The rest is down to slow processing time, allocating DVDs time, and so on. I found they updated the status to received typically three days after I send it back. Sometimes it took four days (although more usually two) for them to allocate another disc, and then another day before it was posted, and then obviously one more day in the mail. When I had 10 titles with just films out in the past two years, it took four days to allocate me a DVD.

So I got ten rentals for £5 over a 10 week period. Most of them were older films that I could have purchased on DVD for £3-4 anyway. New films were not being sent. So it is just about worth it if you want to watch some older films, but I would never pay a full subscription fee with them.

If I've already taken out a free trial with these guys, will I still be accepted for this deal?

Thanks for the info - think I'll leave it then.

Every day you get offered your local daily deal from the town you use. But there are also some national deals available - like this one.

As for post about ie getting movies down the list - must admit my highest priority is Avatar - and its still not here. But for the price for 3 months - surely worth the money.

I've had 20 already and i've got till the end of feb to go (i do try return em same or next day). As for getting DVD's you can buy for £3 - that would have cost you £30 then. Lets face it - take off the postage and they are making nothing from this. The way people are talking - you would think this was costing the full price. Its £4.99 for 3 months !!!!!!!!.

Can you cancel at the end of your 3 months - or are you required to stick with them for a year or something?
#16
Looks like you get an online account, and you have to use that to cancel. Anyhoo have taken the offer now and added heat - gotta be worth it for that price and I just got a new Blu Ray home theatre - woo-hoo! :p

I've taken up the offer, so sometime next week it'll go ahead. Now clearing my diary for next 3 months and replacing it with 'watching DVDs' most days!

Ha ha might aswell make most of it. I have a holiday home from march - november, so it filled the gap of 3 months nicely. Will be cancelling end of Feb.

Make sure your title list is as long as possible. The more titles you have - the more likely a dvd will be available to dispatch. That might be why the other guys dvd's took so long.

not off to a good start this lot.
Registered on Friday afternoon and my first dvd despatch email came through to say it would arrive next day but still nothing has arrived.
#25
Just a word of caution...when the three months were up, my last disc didn't arrive apparently...
This means they automatically charged me for the next month. They didn't say that they were going to do this, I just happened to find out by checking my bank statement. Still don't know what's happening re. the 'lost' disc.
I might just be unlucky though, but thought it was quite a coincedence that they received all other discs except the very last one.
