Since I've seen someone posting a retention deal on EE I thought I'd do the same for Three.

So I called them today to ask for my PAC code and after talking a few minutes here's what they gave me:

12GB

600 min

Unlimited texts

Feel at home Europe (free roaming)

£11

Monthly rolling contract.

Hope it can help people.

EDIT: A lot of people seem to struggle to get a good deal.

First of all being with a provider for several years helps a lot

Then you need to call them every let's say 10-12 months to "upgrade" your contract

- Threaten to leave

- Ask for you PAC code

- Mention other offers you've seen on internet

- Tell them it's a shame that you leave because you like their services blablabla

I went from a 24 months contract paying £36, to a monthly rolling 4GB @ £15 to 8Gb @ £13 to finally 12GB @ £11.

Hope it helps

EDIT 2: A few people are asking for my number so that they can prove someone has this deal to the Three operators.

I will not be giving my number because:
1- I will never give my number in a public place like HUKD
2- I don't want them to take my deal down and I feel this could happen since the guy insisted several times when he said "Do not tell anyone about this deal"
3- When my allowance comes back and my account is updated, I will screenshot my Three app and post it here as proof.

I personally think all these retention deals totally depend on the person in the call centre , I really think they give you a better deal of you call a UK based call centre . I left Virgin last week after being SIM only for about 10 years and got offered nothing close to all these deals posted this week , call centre was in Malaysia I think and they really aren't that bothered if you leave . went to three on that 8gb , 800 mins ultd text for £13 (12 month contract) ..that's enough for me , although I would have preferred a monthly contract .
Texts is the plural of Text. You can't have unlimited Text. It's Unlimited Texts!!!!!!
Since we're being ludicrously pedantic here, why the odd use of capitals? :|

I left last year also after being within since 2003. No retention deals that were better than what anyone else was offering

I've two contracts with 3 due up tomorrow. If they don't do me a deal I'm off. What's the EE contract people have gone for please? I would like to keep the option of "feel at home" but don't know if others offer it. Thanks in advance for any help and replies.

That's about 29 days overdue. Would have been most beneficial to ask for PAC code(s) the month before contract end to prompt an earlier deal, especially as contracts tend to be paid monthly in advance and the PAC request is deemed to be notice but only if used.

I went with the £19.99 EE 12 GB deal. £50 cash back via topcashback. Was paying for Apple Music so got that free for 6 months and BT sport app. This also has a feel at home type deal in Europe.

How does it the top cash back work ?

What's the deal (pardon the pun) when it comes to ending long-running 30 day sim only deals - do they ever throw out any retention-type offers? My Mother has been with 3 for a while and there are now a lot of better sim only deals for the same money...

What do you mean ?

you login in to top cashback, find EE click it and get a contract, the cashback gets paid at some point.

if you're on a good deal now they won't change u to a worse deal, it stays the as it is. I thought they put u on a standard deal but they don't.

They will not offer that straight after your contract. Don't aim too high first of all. Mention offers you've seen online. Tell them you don't want to leave because you like their services

Currently on 8gb + unlimited texts and minutes on a monthly rolling for £16. Would be nice if they offered me this. Will try tomorrow.

Networks may still charge for roaming but the price is capped. It'll become completely free from June next year (so you'll be able to use your calls, text and data anywhere in the EU without charge). Until we leave the EU, then who know what'll happen. But that's probably 2 years away and all our contracts will have expired by then.

Sorry but this is ****. Sometimes they try to keep you sometimes not. Where is the proof? I don't vote without. I left the three, called them last time and they said "thank you to use our service and bye bye!"

I left also for EE, was with them from startup, did not offer anything decent, 3 sent me an email about supporting them due to large monopolies taking control just last week!! No support from me!!

I was on sim only with Vodafone £20 per month unlimited min and text with 20gb data then upgraded to a s7 edge 24 month contract for £36 unlimited mins and text with 24gb data and phone was free this was like back in November which was very good I thought.

I'm on a 12m unlimited mins and texts. 4GB of data got it about 7 months ago. It's £12pm which is less than I was paying before. Still think you can get a better deal too.
#29
wish you posted this earlier!, i called them yesterday lunchtime. I'm already a three customer and said i just wanted a monthly contract so i had more flexibility and they offered me unlimited calls/texts and 4GB data For £11 per month. I was going to switch to ID mobile for £10 a month for the same allowance but to save the hassle of getting PAC code etc i will pay the £1 for a month or 2. Just waiting for the iphone7 contract deals to come down in price

If its anything like Sky the amount of time you have spent with Three will make little or no difference to the deal you get. It's all about how much you currently spend and how valuable you are to them as a customer.

I was originally on the one plan last year with unlimited everything for just £15 per month, when they forced me off it I ended up on a 8gb unlimited calls and texts with feel at home for £18pm in a 12 month contract. This just ended and I Called to cancel, wasn't offered much of a deal and they wanted another 12 month contract. so I stuck to my guns and said not good enough wanted my PAC code and then got passed through to a second caller who immediately offered my the same deal 8gb unlimited mins and text on feel at home on a monthly contract for just £13. I know people have better deals but I'm happy with that for now.

fab deal. I'm on the unlimited mins and texts with 4GB data but don't use the minutes and need more data so for very little extra this is perfect. I'll be checking when I'm up for renewal. heat thanks op

I was struggling to get a deal with Three over the phone. I have been with them for a 6 years now on monthly rolling £14. I think the deals they offer are more generous when you switch from a 24month £30+ contract to a sim only which is what the OP experienced (because he was paying considerably more over the last 24 months he got a bigger discount). However their 8GB, 600 mins plan + FeelAtHome currently discounted at £13 is still cracking and here is the big tip: If you go to a three store and upgrade to this deal they will add 2000 3-3 minutes to your plan. Overall this means your 600 mins last longer. The Three phone staff told me to go to a Three store because they said they no longer have access to add 3-3 minutes for existing customers. HTH

does that include tethering or only 1gb tethering? I'm paying £11.48 for unlimited data, minutes and texts but it doesn't include any tethering. But can still torrent just fine.

If they don't offer. The Chances are you've found a jobs worth.
Plenty of them in India just like the U.K. U know the type of person who'd rather be on the dole than work.

Just hang up and try again. People are people. Some are in a good mood. Some aren't.
Being polite and friendly goes a long way

The EE retention deal for the 20GB, Unlimited mins, Unlimited texts, BT Sports, £15 p/m.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ee-sim-only-deal-unlimited-mins-unlimited-text-20gb-data-15-p-m-12-mth-deal-180-2599275

No good if your stuck with 3, But worth knowing and might be of interest to any family or friends who are with EE.

I just ended a 6 year contract with Three the other day. Called through to retentions twice to see what they'd offer. They offered nothing like this and I tried pretty hard. The best deal they offered me was quite good but without feel at home which I didn't want to lose so didn't accept. Loyalty is barely ever rewarded well now.

In the end I just told them to change it to PAYG and I went online as a new customer and took out the £13 a month (discounted from £18 till the end of January) with 600min and 8gb for 12 months and with £50 Topcashback. Technically works out at under £9 a month after cashback.
