It appears to be £17.50 for the first 6 months and then £35. thereafter.

Its 18 months half price on the phones duckmagicuk has mentioned above, not all the phones.

Yep. Some people may be interested in the other phones at a slightly higher cost too, depends what you're after.

Hi, hopefully someone can help me here!

I ordered the Nokia 6233r (Refurb) on this 18 month half price plan in Feb 2007. I recieved the phone with a welcome pack but no contract details, i.e 18 month half price.

Everything was perfect until August when I recieved a bill for £35 when I really should have been paying £17.50. After about a dozen phone calls to 3's "customer service" I was eventually told that I had recieved a brand new Nokia 6233 which meant that the contract I was on was 18 month with only 6 months half price line rental! Now, I can't prove that the phone that was actually sent to me was brand new or a refurb so they have me over a barrel but, surely if I ordered a refurb phone and they sent me a new one then the blame lies at their door .. Not mine. :?

They have since asked for proof that the contract was indeed for 18 months half price. As I stated before, all the documents I recieved with the phone I have kept and even tried to fax them to 3 only to get the same old answer.... We need proof that we actually offered this contract to you, not the reciept for the phone! :x

So, does anyone know what I should do as I've been paying full price for a good few months now and the only evidence that this deal was actually offered is this thread from "Dukmagicuk2" from over a year ago.

Thanks,

Hmm... I'm not exactly sure what to do here. Ideally, this should have been argued out with three when they told you that you'd received a new price and that they'd changed the contract...

Possibly one for consumer direct. Try looking for your local consumer direct number by searching on saynoto0870.com.

Thanks for the reply. I have been in contact with them quite a few times over the past year. As soon as I realised how much they were charging I phoned them straight away.

With regards to the contract changing, the reason, according to three, was that there never was such a deal on offer (18 months half price). I have argued with the customer sevice dept and various managers but I keep getting told the exact same thing. :x

I'll try consumer direct to see if they can do anything.

Once again, thank you for your help.
