Why?

It seems more expensive.

300 minutes is more than enough for most people for normal use, i know people who have loads of minutes and keep phoning people talking loads of s**t and being a pain in the ass, this is a sensible deal for sensible folk,

How is three with reception nowadays? Few years back could not get signal in bloody LONDON!

If you use < 300 minutes (perhaps looking for a texts + data arrangement), no (obviously), but yes, if you use 300 to 600 minutes per month, then it is a better deal. The difference is likely to be about £34 after cashback (IIRC) - this means that you only need to use 100 minutes over the 300 over the year to make the 600 the better deal.

BTW TCB only started listing these deals after I asked them! (They beat the rate where I first saw them too.)

Are Three still rubbish with TCB/Quidco though? They fobbed me over last time I tried and claimed I'd used a voucher code with my order, which I definitely didn't. Really pee'd me off because the deal was only good with cashback included.

This is a good deal if it comes off though. Cheaper than the Chitter Chatter I have atm (100 txts, 100 mins, 'unlimited' net for £6 pm - 30 day contract, though).

Well worth £10 on a P&G sim to find out - I recently tried Giffgaff, only to find that an O2 3G signal is only found with the pot of gold (at the end of a rainbow) in my area! My wife's Orange phone likes rejecting calls even with a significant signal (she was on T-mobile with no issues - so much for the signal share)! I now would not tie into a contract without a no ties trial. Thinking about going back to 3 (despite the fact I hate their CS & told them exactly that less than 3 months ago when I got my PAC). Oh for a 3 network P&G like giffgaff (who, if you get O2 3g, are now back to FREE data for a while).

Got an upgrade on my contract... got 300 mins, 300 text and unlimited internet for £5.
It is a 24 months contract though.
But then no cashback waiting and no looking up for deals for 2 years.
Hope will have no regrets 8).

Hot deal.

Three have really beefed up their network recently, especially for data...

I've seen three's mobile broadband run faster than home broadband, streaming iplayer no problem.

3 have a tainted reputation relating to successful cashback payments according to many comments posted at TCB - mainly to do with cashback tracking being quick, but after a reasonable pending period the cashback disappears after allegedly being paid to another channel with no opportunity to reclaim / recover.
In context: my 3 wifi purchase earlier this year tracked and paid OK, but a later chunky £100+ cashback is overdue.
Treat the cashback as a bonus not a guarantee, and you should not be disappointed.
Treating the cashback as essential to the purchase decision is potentially risky.

I wonder if you can request a iPhone sim for this deal?

just to let everyonne know, i have this deal and its the perfect plan for me, although i did not get the cashback, and also signal always cuts out and is low on my san fransisco, but when you do get signal, the internet is super fast, so me personally will probably try and get the same tariff but go on orange or 02 when my contract expires, still hot from me though :)

Never had any issues with vodafone cashback.

I use Skype all the time on mine and yes it's free.

3 to 3 calls are not included anymore, people should know that 3 are turning off their 2g arrangement with orange, hence the increasing complaints about reception, people are being allowed to cancel their contracts as a result.
I had the same problem moved all the family to giffgaff.... £10 gives you 250mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet + free giffgaff to giffgaff calls and texts and there's no contract
#29
Being a 3 customer for a while in London i can say i get great reception all over london, better than o2 which i had before and definately better than vodafone.
You don't get 2g signal anywhere but the 3g coverage is so good your always connected
The customer service has always been great and i managed to get two contracts one at £3.75 a month and £5.75 a month without cashback after being with them for a short period.
They are also constantly upgrading there network so its well worth the contract.
In terms of TCB it is a bit of a hit or miss with three

Having moved from vodafone, the 3G speed is actaully slower on Three - about 2mb versus upto 6mb i experienced at times with Vodafone

I have had 3 lots of Three Mobile pay out no problem in past few months. Last Voda didn't pay out so it happens with them all.
I had a Three 18 month contract expire last month just waiting for 1 month cancellation notice to end, I tried getting them to do something like this to keep my business but they said the minimum they could do was £10/month, no idea how others get retention deals, they were not interested at all.

Just take the sim into a three store and they'll transfer the sim across to a micro sim for free for you. Takes 24 hours to go through they say - I've done it a couple of times and been up and running within an hour or two though.

The one plan will be on 1 month rolling contracts imminently at a cracking price too.

Does anyone know if this sim can be stuck into a 3G dongle and used for mobile broadband? Plus text messages....

Thanks

Hey? How would it be £5.45 a month? You'd get £5.45 cashback from Topcashback but you wouldn't continue to get this every month!
