Thats prettty crazy! May have been better spent improving their customer service!

Never the less they are decent if you never have to deal with their customer service teams.

looking for an iphone 4 is this the best way to go unlimited data ? :-)

Errrm that link states:

* From £25 per month (depends on the phone you choose)
* 2,000 any network minutes
* 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes
* 5,000 texts
* 1GB internet

Last time I looked, 1GB did NOT constitute 'Unlimited'.

EDIT: The link in your OP is the better one to use, that second one only confuses things. Here's your first link but click-able... CLICK HERE

That is an old blog post?

Yes. Sorry. Three have still to update their website pricing but the news is official.

It seems the unlimited data will be running to other plans later but I've no firm info on that - One is deffo first.

Giffgaff don't allow u to tether on their plan. This is a uk first.

Wow unlimited data "IF" you have a signal and a customer service to leave you wishing the ground would open up and suck you in, poor company who seem to be in denial about the limited service they offer

True Three's customer experience leaves a lot to be desired BUT stick this sim in a miff and u can kiss ur landline goodbye!
#10
this is very good, if you have a strong enough signal...I didn't see where tethering was mentioned?

you are very optimistic, mobile broadband is too slow and erratic

This is an awesome development, I'm just about to change networks for my iPhone - if three give me 3G reception where I work, looks like I'll be jumping ship to them!

EDIT: 24 month contract though, I'd be inclined to take one of their 30-day sim-only rolling contracts for a while first, see how things pan out for a while.

Title needs to be a bit clearer on the company name/provider!

Is that a question? As I've already pointed out above, the link was not helpful to the OP which is why I provided the 'click-able' link.

They always check it for home and work because it is a known issue with the compnay

Our 3G coverage is continually growing and already covers more than 97% of the UK population for mobile internet, calls and texts.

Anyone any info if the current One Plan users get this also ?
#20
Seems to be available now according to the website. Quite tempted with the £100 quidco and £30 recommend a friend.

So how is this going to work?

Well, All-you-can-eat Data on The One Plan kicks in now. It’s for new customers, upgrading customers, and customers that are part way through their contracts.

As I mentioned earlier, it’s only for customers on The One Plan at the moment. It doesn’t apply to Mobile Broadband, Pay As You Go, or any of our other Pay Monthly plans. If you’re a mobile customer on any of our other tariffs and you’re tempted by All-you-can-eat Data, you can move to The One Plan at any time.

We’re doing our best to make sure that all of the places we refer to our previous 1GB data limit on The One Plan are updated as quickly as possible, but we can’t tackle them all at once, so please bear with us. If you’re a One Plan customer, you might continue to see 1GB on your bill or on My3 for a little while still, but that’s just because we haven’t been able to change the wording yet. All One Plan customers now have All-you-can-eat Data.

Sounds ok . but i wouldnt pay ANY money to these annoying leaches................ Customer services are crap to say the least. I would rather pay more to ANY of the other networks and get good British customer services!!! Good deal .....But 3 network?? NEVER AGAIN!!
#23
remember that 3 also use Everything Everywhere (Orange & Tmobile) masks for signal, theyve spent alot of money this year trying to get to 97% coverage of UK and their network is G
#24
I've just bought an iphone on three... im now taking it back on there 14 day policy unless they give me this deal..

;)
#25
When I had it in the summer. It was so slow or Inoperative that you'd be lucky to use 200Mb in a month.
#26
I rang 3 up the other week to see if they could equal or better the T-Mobile sim with 3Gb/month internet. The bloke on the phone called me a liar and said there was no-one in the UK offering more than 1Gb. I pointed out GiffGaff were offering unlimited. He again called me a liar. Anyway this was on top of them losing my Nokia 5800 that had been sent for repair. I spoke to a manager after the initial gimp had cut me off. Eventually I got my PAC code two months early and have been guaranteed no more money will be taken from my account. Go with 3 at your peril!! Great while it works but be prepared for the worst customer service if it doesn't.

Count Vodafone out then, don't remember the last time I spoke to a UK based customer services rep! 3 have a patchy reputation though having been a customer for several years I am happy to say I'd go back. Vodafone losing my two contracts shortly as my online billing has been unusable since March!
What are the other networks like for UK based customer service?

I've been with them for the past 13 months, their customer service isn't bad, they're very liberal on giving freebies out when they wrong though. Just a matter of understanding them since I've yet to speak to somebody that sounds even remotely british. I'll be leaving them at the end of my 18 months signal has gone way down hill where I live in the past 6 months (the reason I had to call customer service).
Very good offer though, just the unlimited internet is worth this, especially if you have an iPad or something similar.

i'm with 3 - mix & match 1100 with 2gb tinternet, 300 mins 3-3, etc

this looks interesting....

Sounds like some bad luck. I can't praise Vodafone enough. I have found their CS the best of all the mobile providers I have been with (Orange, T-Mobile, Three). Always speak to someone in the UK, always get the problem sorted during the phone call or they phone me back within an hour. On the other networks I get promises of call backs but that's about it. I've just started my second 12 month SIM only contract with Voda. Fingers crossed they maintain the CS standard.
#33
Ive had every network and in my area 3 is the best at 3g signal 02 voda orange and tmobile dont come any where near...

I know this from the radio streaming on my iphone......on 3 it cuts out on one road......all the others out of 1 hour bus trip probably work for 15 mins.

Also 02 can only dream of having there 3g speeds.
#34
Three has always tethered on iPhone 4. ..... 4g is now in USA so maybe it's coming to uk with the new iPhone 5 in production for USA 4g Market.......... Three has the best 3G service with Vodafone close behind.... Tmobile downloads images jpg's in low res which is annoying.... I have a 15gb sim with three and we all use it at home with the mifi and never get through 10th per month Even with YouTube downloading etc £12 per month ..... So is it really a good deal??? 3gb sim cards on three are £7 on eBay and last for 3 months with average surfing... Then chuck the sim away and buy another
#35
Have been with three for a couple of years now. I've got a Desire and the coverage is excellent and also cs is very good on the rare occasion i've had to call.
#36
Im with three allready, my contract is up end fab 10th they gave me the one deal £35 a month and a iphone 4 and had to pay £69 quid and the cancelled my old contract for £17 cant grumble at that
#37
I also regularly use over 1GB of internet and have never been throttled
#38
I imagine at some point they'll start to go after the landline market - eg a lot of people are paying maybe £50-£70 for landline/internet/mobile/mobilebroadband. This setup with different hardware could replace that for half or less.
#39
3 can stick it. Their poor customer service isn't worth the deal at any price.
#40
They have the best 3g network pretty much and speeds are very good. For calls 3 are rubbish though as they dont have their own 2g network. So you cant use their handsets with factory or otherwise car phone kits.

No 3 signal at all in my local town. I got a couple of the Tmobile £7.50 contracts and honestly the reception and coverage is much much better plus it works with the rsap phone system in my Phaeton.

Also they say unlimited but there is always fair use. They wont let you use this like a normal home internet connection I bet.
