No contract involved just topup and use the credit as you go, thought it was a pretty good deal myself

Are you absolutely sure it was 'just use up the credit as you go'?

The only one i knew of still doing that was Vodafone and they've stopped, moving to a pay monthly but no contract deal, ie, cancel at one months notice.

From Argos's website "Top up from £10 for 1GB for 30 days" which is very different from "just use up the credit as you go"

You do need to buy a bundle with the credit,if you just 'use' it you will run out of credit in no time

That seems extremely cheap though, giving you the dongle for free and 2 x top up vouchers for less than their value

Can you scan the receipt to show how they put that through the till?
#4
I believe the credit does expire after 30 days

So it wasn't 2 x top up vouchers then?

I've been reading up on this - I *think* a £10 voucher buys you 1GB of internet access and expires after 30 days, therefore the two £10 vouchers would cover you for 2 months.

Yes,£10 does buy you 1gb to be used within 30 days but the opening post led me to believe it was 2 top up vouchers, but it would appear this is not the case,it must be some other type of vouchers or the credit is already on the sim :?

OP would need to clarify exactly what these 2 £10 credits are

if ur smart enough to try this, try it:
top up the credit,
then select a £5 internet max add on which is 1gb.
then use that for a month, then after the months up, activate another 1gb with internet max.
do the same again the following 2 months.
then u have 4 months of internet 1gb.
try it see how it goes,
just make sure u activate the internet max before the 1gb runs out, or try activating 2 internet max's at once see if they cue themselves.

thank u goodnight much love.

Ok, this is what I got :-

A ZTE MF112 Dongle
2 x PAYG SIMS
2 x PAYG £10 Top Up Vouchers

The SIMS do not have any credit on them, I asked the guy in the store this before buying

I was already going to try the £5 internet add on 'trick'

I went to a three store earlier, they said this deal DOES NOT EXIST,she checked through all their offers and the cheapest dongle they have is £29.99 and it has 1gb loaded,

I told her you got one for £18.50 with £20 credit, she said absoloutely no way,

So how about posting your receipt?

Plus why on earth would they give you 2 simcards

Mayby it was a store specific offer.
Maybe your attitude sucked as much in the store as it has on this thread.

Why on earth would I lie ?
I should imagine that they give them out in the hope that I might pass it on to a friend or relative and it'll then generate some revenue for them.

Your forthcoming apology will of course be graciously received.
#13
I won't have a problem apologising if I'm wrong,my 3 store said this offer does not exist,as I suspected right from the start,

Checking out the receipts now ;-)

I had a look at the receipt,I see a few referrals to a contract and discounts of £117.50,

on receipt it shows zte dongle cost £125,then there is a discount of 117.50,now we know this dongle doesn't cost that ,so ?

Also 7 items total on receipt which are possibly,2 x sims,2 x top ups,1 x dongle,what are the other 2 items? a mobile phone and a contract?

who knows, but this is not a deal which anyone can buy in 3 stores,it does not exist
#15
when/if someone else can confirm they got this deal instore without any other conditions or taking out a contact and they prove it I will eat humble pie

Doubt it'll happen though

Why won't you just believe I got the deal as posted ?
I did actually get a 3rd SIM, the guy in the shop said that if I wanted to take it as a contract to ring and get it activated.
I DID NOT get a phone, nor did i sign up for any contract, you've seen the receipt for yourself.

What proof will you actually believe, tell you what, why don't you ring the Nuneaton store and ask them yourself ?

All I know is that I got the Dongle and £20 credit for £18.50 without having to sign up to anything else
#17
I don't disbelieve you got the dongle, top ups etc for £18.50,your receipt shows that you did, however it also shows references to a contract,

I'm simply stating that this is not a current 3 instore offer for a payg mobile dongle, nor is it online, online price is the same as I was told instore,

Either you have a numpty sales person in your local store or they have signed you up to some sort of contract, could be a rolling 1 month contract,I don't know, but what I do know is my 3 store said the offer doesn't exist

Cheers was after a dongle, so popped into my local 3 store (Cardiff) and picked up the same deal as the op. So it seems you can still get this deal. Heat and rep added!
