This is awful. Watching the Paralympics is bad enough, but the events being held in London is even worse.

Can you kindly explain why it's bad to watch the paralympics?

Because its the PARALYMPICS. I'd rather watch my toenails grow.

COLD

Not the real Olympics
It would be pretty cold if it was. As it's not on anymore.
great Idea Park tickets only, just to see the park unfortunately their does not seem to be a place to buy them on the 2012 website.

Sad to see the massive lack of patriotism from some on this feed after how well we did. I say great deal and would be amazing to be part of. Go GB!!!!

Yes we did do well in the Olympics. However, this site is for deals. The fact that some of us have pointed out that paying full price to enter a park isn't really a deal doesn't mean that anyone has shown a lack of patriotism. Yes, it would be amazing to go and see but that doesn't automatically make it a deal.

That sucks I wanted to go as well.
No tickets for me...:(
No tickets available. You can add them to your basket, but when you try to check out it says no tickets found.
no tickets for me, for any day.
You can queue for returns at each venue within the park.

My girlfriend and I were there on Saturday evening for Handball in the Copperbox. We left early so we could watch the athletics on the big screens. As we walked out we got cheers from the people queueing to get in.

coming up as £90
shady
It was a bit 'Monkey Tennis' on Friday (and Canada well worth their win), but to say the stadium is poor is a bit harsh. We bought ours whilst there for last Wednesday's games for £20 each - and were seated 7 rows up directly behind the goal. To be honest we have been to three sessions of the football, and found every seat we have been in to be a good view. So long as you arrive early (which is what you are advised anyway), it's all well organised.

Agree about the food though, the fish and chips were awful, we only ate the once. However plenty of people eating pies and they smelt alright.
Yes it was fish and chips we had, don't think they were even properly cooked, even Tesco frozen is better, couldn't find anywhere to get drinking water had to fill up in the toilets most unpleasant :(

avoid these junk games. save your money for next season premier league football.
Haha good one!....
Just found wimbledon tickets for £10 and £65, for 5th Aug, hill and centre court, mens single gold matches.... Not bad...
So i was prepared to bite the bullet and shell out £655 each and get 2 tickets for the closing ceremony, however it tells me the top 3 prices are available, but when selected it then says can't find any.

Tried several times late last night, and same thing this morning.

Frustrating!

If the tickets aren't available, don't suggest they are by search results showing the 665, 995 & 1500 are.

Doesn't seem to be an easy method of contacting them to question actual availability.

Grrrrrr!

Got tickets for ladies football bronze playoff at Coventry though. Not a total catastrophe then.
Voted cold - why should I have to go south to watch anything other than Football and pay for the "honour" of giving my presence to watch people who are professional and earning far more than I ?

I will save my money to buy vast tracts of Greek coastline next year
Might go for the Women's 20km Race - Walk
cheers.

Does anybody know where I can get tickets for Paralympic events in Olympic Park? Am struggling on official site!
This should be unexpired as tickets are still available for the various dates.
ifindyoudeal

Cineworld have 10% off booking online (as you book paralynpic tickets online)
And also they have family tickets which would bring the price down. Just the 10% brings it to £41.80,

This is not cheaper than the cinema

*bows* I thank you

You win - the paralymics tickets are comparable in price with going to the cinema, not cheaper.

I'm going to take my kids and encourage them to look at the disabled athletes. In fact, there will be an Olympic stadium of people all staring intently at the athletes. We all have things in life that could hold us back. This can be things like prejudice, disability, lack of education or finances. These people will be overcoming their disabilities. I hope this attitude will rub off on my kids. I want them to learn to overcome the things that could hold them back.

The TED talk below talks about some of the issues relating to disability and people staring. John Hockenberry bought flashy wheels for his wheelchair. Now people stare at the cool wheels, not pity the occupant.
http://www.ted.com/talks/john_hockenberry_we_are_all_designers.html

ifindyoudeal - watch the video, then come back with a response, let's talk some more!

I'm under the impression that if you have a valid olmpic/paralympic ticket you also get issued with a 1-9 Travelcard see http://www.london2012.com/spectators/travel/games-travelcard/ . for the £10 cost of the ticket (excluding postage) this could work out a "cheaper" day out instead of buying travelcards.

I took 2 of my sons to see the proper Brazil for £40 all in for 3 of us,

So this to me is just another overpriced Olympic event, especially as that is the cheapest ticket.

Thriftyshopper - is that another word for tight a***

No it was £20 for me and £10 for kids getting to see some of the best Brazilian players ever Cafu,Ronaldo,Ronaldinho,Carlos,Kaka etc.,they were the price of tickets at full face value.

So no tight **** about it,just stating a fact that I think they are not that good value in comparison.

I do not like the fact that you called me that and I very much doubt you would say it to my face.I normally spend over £100 every week going to football after tickets and nearer £200 when I take the children so don't think I'd ever be accused of what you say especially when it comes to spending on children.

Didn't mean to offend - just joke. Your Brazil deal is an absolute bargain, however since you are aware of the price to see an organised football match paying 100 - 200 quid each week, I don't agree with your comments that £20 for a couple of hours entertainment is overpriced - especially when it is the olympics in our country. For many on HUKD a once in a lifetime opportunity. For those based in the North East paying 20 quid to see the likes of Brazil (even if B team) for me doesn't seem overpriced, especially when kids prices are much cheaper. Once again apologies if I offended you.(_;)

I took it the wrong way sorry.

After seeing some of their squad,I agree it would be a good price,I just don't like how the Olympics has been priced out of most peoples bracket and felt some of the less televised events should be more accessible.

The costs I said for other games includes travel, food etc.,the most I have paid is £45 for a Final ticket and that includes all the England games I have been to at home and abroad.

Hope all that go have a great time.

Didn't realise the squad myself - Cheers

I have tickets for Team GB at Old Trafford paid the £30 bracket and the seats are awesome, pretty much Sky/MOTD angle seats.

I also had tickets for Brazil at Old Trafford but annoyingly had to sell them as got a good mates Stag Do same weekend!

One thing I would add though is the tickets I ordered had two games: Uruguay vs UAE on the Team GB day and Egypt vs New Zealand on the Brazil day.

Actually managed to get 2 A tickets for badmington.

£196 lighter and they call that a deal!!!

HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to watch a couple of ponces hitting a shuttlecock for a short time - id rather watch 10 Reading FC premier league games for the same money - hell, id rather watch 1 prem game rather than that dire sport - ok to play but to watch = paint dry

How the hell can they justify the cost!

Only did it for the kids. Once in a lifetime opportunity for them. I've bought tickets to watch paint dry - much cheaper X)

Didn't I pay £9billion already?

Yeah because you obviously half owned Facebook with Zuckerburg and gave your half of his £17 billion to the Great British Public...Thank You Sir!

the deal is that people would pay 10 times the original amount to have a ticket

For a first round of weighlifting which means nothing and is full of absolute amateurs at that stage? Hmmm yeah good luck with that!

I applied for tickets at each stage.... It became clear that Ticketmaster had half inched most of the good tickets for their sister site to sell at a huge profit. I ended up with Bronze medal Mens Tennis at Wimbledon for £250 ..... after 4 rounds of getting nowhere! Oh Well.... It only comes round once in a lifetime.

This deal is Ice cold though because £20 tickets are rarer than Unicorns Teardrops

Easiest way to find an available event is to choose a day on which you want to go. Then search all available venues, sports and sessions.

I chose Saturday 4th August so I wouldn't have to take a days holiday.

Got the women's beach volleyball at Horse Guards Parade.

Waited 15 minutes for tickets and paid with my VISA debit.

I know it's not a popular sport but I just wanted to be in London and soak up the atmosphere. Going to make a day of it.

now id watch the womens volleyball - hehe

Does anyone know where i can tickets for Olympic preview tickets from? I hear that rehearsals and trainings are open to ticket buying spectators for £10 a pop!

Maybe you just don't know how to use the internet - in which case I apologise in advance - but it's the third result on google and took me 10 seconds to find. Could you not have just looked yourself (and probably got the answer in the time it took you to ask the question anyway!)?

Sorry for being so ignorant but i just couldn't find the link, and even from Ticket master i can't find what the preview events i'm looking for could you please show me any direct links?

Was there any need for that comment? Especially considering you're completely wrong! He wanted to know whether tickets were available for the opening ceremony - Can you point me to the link if you're so clever and in the know? I doubt very much you'll find them. Next time you decide to open your mouth in response to an honest question, try not to be such a dick.

Well I must sincerely apologise. I thought "Olympic Preview events" meant the "Olympic Preview events", not the Opening ceremony. How stupid of me...

Unless they don't know how to use the internet properly, there is zero excuse for not being able to find that info themselves.

Jesus, where's your sense of spirit? The greatest sporting event on earth is coming to our country and this is more or less the only time you're going to be able to watch it in person! Stop with the negative attitudes, no wonder people keep saying things like London are going to host the worst Olympics, its because you all bloody hate it!

How many ordinary people will get to “watch it in person!” Use the Nine billion it’s costing for the NHS and Schools.

It would be awesome to watch in person! You can stay at home n slob on a pot noodles for all I care :P

I didn’t say it wouldn’t be awesome to watch in person. I asked how many ordinary people will get to watch it in person. With all the corporate tickets sold and the fiasco when the tickets finally went on sale to the common man.

Kids pay their age (so a 6 year old pays only 6 pounds). I think it's a great deal! Thanks for posting! Deadline to buy tix is 6pm tonight!

If you wait a while longer, they'll be giving tickets away for free!!!!

What's the point of the LONDON Olympics in anywhere other than LONDON?

I'm getting myself and my daughter into the Scottish League Cup Semi Final @ Hampden for £20.

Brilliant, and if you buy tickets for any of the Team GB womens games there is a good chance that you will see some of those players again LOL

04 August 2012

12:00-14:00 Football Men's Quarterfinal
Session Code: FB031 - Old Trafford, Manchester
£50.00 - A, £20.00 - C

Arguably this is much better value - also by comparison zero congestion to get there, chances of seeing some players you might have heard of.

Please dont vote this based on your view of the Olympics alone. It will hopefully give some on here a heads up if they are after Olympics tickets for themselves or as a present. This will probabl…

if you are thinking of giving these as Christmas presents then they arent delivered until the Summer :(

Or transferable.
Only official way of selling/swapping is through the Olympic ticketing site, from the start of next year apparently. Also you can only sell them at face value.

you can give them as presents nothing stopping you, was going to give them to the kids as part of their presents

It doesn't need to be a credit card. Just a normal debit card would do if VISA is all they're after.

Even so if they dont have a VISA card they will have to get a credit or debit card, which like i say isn't fair
I can see it being another Millennium Dome, in that it'll be all oohs and aahs for a week, and then everybody will wonder why on Earth we had it in the first place.
We've already paid for this through our taxes and lottery money, so much for it being an Olympics for the people.

You can only buy using a Visa card what a con that is

How is it a con? The only reason why you can pay by Visa is because that's what LOCOG agreed to. Visa hands over big sponsorship money and in return they get exclusive payment.

people have to apply for credit cards so they can buy tickets, hardly fair is it
