It plays much cleaner and smoother than 2007. New courses and your skills aren't set in stone they vary with consistency ... Definately recommended !!

I would think so. There are less incentives for 2008 owners to upgrade though.

I was long overdue buying a new Tiger Woods (The last version I owned was 2005 on the original XBox). I used to buy them every year but they got really stale. Bought this at Morrisons for £24.99 and was pleasantly surprised.

FYI: the wii version is on shop-to for the same price: http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettagli&codart=WIITI02&n=Tiger%20Woods%20PGA%20Tour%202009%20All%20Play&p=WII

which do you think would be better? Using the wii remote would be cool, but then I'm sure the 360's graphics would be better...

I would get the 360 version this year and the Wii version next year.
Purely on the basis that next year the Wii version will surely be compatible with the new improved Wii controller

I've got both the Wii and 360 versions, and while the Wii is quite good, the novelty wears off quite quickly, meaning you notice the pretty poor graphics and overall worse controls than that on the 360 version. The graphics on the 360 on an HDTV are stunning, and imo, the controls are a bit better. Also, youd think that it would be easier using the 360 controller because its just the stick, it isn't, trust me!You can have the hang of it perfectly, but once you upgrade your clubs, the slightest movement of centre and the ball goes miles away.

Like so many other games that are cross platform, the Wii is good for a few players to play against each other, but for single player or for online play, the 360 wins hands down

Thanks for your comment, I was actually thinking this myself. However, after reading a few reviews, I think I will be going ahead with the wii version, as it has a 'party mode' which basically is a mode where you can play 4 player with friends, and it makes it a bit easier to play. I have a lot of friends over who would get bored learning all the diffferent tricks and tactics on the full game, but would love party mode.

So for the same price, I think wii version with extra mode is a winner

from the article:
As always, you can jump into mini-games straight from the main menu, but this year EA has created a specific mode that revolves around local multiplayer, and it's exclusive to the Wii iteration. It's called golf party and we have to admit, it's pretty addictive. Encapsulated within the mode are several mini-game type challenges. You've got ball juggling, in which you point the Wii remote at the screen to control a golf club as you attempt to bounce golf balls into the air over and over again for points. In range cart showdown, you drive golf carts around in a competition against friends, the person who collects the most balls wins. There are long drive contests. Mini-putt contests. And much more. But our favorite feature? Ball battle, easily. After your friend whacks the ball, you can press A+B to trigger the mode, which zooms the camera close to the soaring golf ball and gives you the chance to grab onto it (B trigger) and pull or push it in any direction as it glides. If it's your drive, you'll want to pull it drag it closer to the pin, which looms in the distance. If it's not, well, you're going to want to pull it as far away from the pin as possible. You can imagine the screaming matches that ensue.

if you like novelty party games, then the wii is the winner.
if you want the richest, longer term experience, then get the 360 version. different class control (important in golf games) and graphicswise.
horses for courses though.
