PS Move Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 review - 4/10 in OPM (ComputerAndVideoGames.com)
Wednesday 1-Sep-2010 11:17 AM
Motion control makes for a frustrating affair
Official PlayStation Magazine gave the standard DualShock-controlled Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 a solid 7/10 back in issue 47.

Yet despite Sony showing off Tiger Woods with Move at E3, OPM has slated the PS Move version of the game - stamping a sorry 4 out of 10 on its review.

'Almost none of the key gameplay features - use of Focus, draw and fade shots, aiming - work in conjunction with the controller, meaning your stroke-making abilities feel more neutered than Elin Nordegren must wish her husband was.' Nice.

OPM says the lack of these features makes reaching the point of golfing greatness frustratingly difficult:

'The game really does rely on them in order to allow you to achieve any kind of vaguely satisfying results.'

'You also can't impart spin, add extra power, or even navigate menus using Move - only with the pad.'

The review concludes by saying that it won't take to long before you simply drop the controller altogether. Oh dear.

The Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 Move review is just one part of issue 49's massive PlayStation Move review section - featuring the hardware and a whole host of titles.

If you can't wait until then to get a verdict you can trust on Sony's motion control, we've got our own PlayStation Move review for you to cast your eyes over.
