Nice price on this, especially if you're not worried about this years version. It'll just be more of the same anyway! Don't forget Quidco!

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09

Tiger Woods' coach is now your coach! In Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09, Hank Haney will be there from the start to assess your skills, help you tune your clubs and give you feedback after every round as you attempt to climb the leaderboards and win the FedExCup. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 is a highly adaptable game that allows both the rookie and the seasoned veteran the ability to have a personalized and customized day on the links. This year's game also features enhancements to the online experience with a highly integrated EA Sports GamerNet experience as well as an all-new online engine powering Simultaneous Play.

Performance Coach - The TOUR pros have their own coaches and now you do too. Tiger Woods real life coach Hank Haney will guide you through your career right from the start and help you improve your skills as you play each of your rounds. Haney is constantly watching your performance and assessing areas for improvement, providing you tips on how to increase your skills.

Tune Your Clubs to Maximize Your Swing - With the all new Club Tuner you'll be able to tune your individual wedges, irons, woods and driver to customize your bag and get the most out of every club. But strategy will come into play as you must weigh the risks of club performance versus ease of use. So tune wisely!

Dynamic Skills - All-new Dynamic Skills eliminates the chore of building your character up from scratch with skills you set at the beginning of your career. Based up on your performance after each round, your skills will go up and down.

Enhanced EA Sports GamerNet - Personalize your experience on EA Sports GamerNet like never before. With the all new Instant Challenges you can earn points in any game mode and climb the Daily GamerNet leaderboards. These Instant Challenges - long drive, approach shots and putting, will appear throughout every round, providing a multitude of opportunities to earn GamerNet points while playing other modes.

New Online Mode - In addition, to turn based play an all-new 4-Player Online Simultaneous Play will allow you to compete in a four person round in the same time it takes to play single player. No more waiting for your buddies to hit their golf shot. You will see ball trails from each of your playing partners as the foursome plays the hole at the same time. Finish the hole first and switch over to spectator mode where you'll see your partners characters as they finish up the hole.

New Courses and Golfers - New challenges await with exotic new locations including Gary Player Country Club in South Africa, Wentworth Country Club in England, Sheshan Golf Club in China, Wolf Creek in Nevada and Bay Hill Country Club in Florida. Adding international flavor to the available golfers in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 are Si Re Pak, Darren Clarke, Nick Dougherty and Rory McIlroy.

"Nice price on this, especially if you're not worried about this years version. It'll just be more of the same anyway!"

It is a very good price for a really good addictive game.
But just to bring you up on your opening line... there are quite a few differences between this and TW '08 such as improved control and better online play... so maybe TW '10 will be even better still and not just more of the same.
But I'm only nitpicking!

not sure this will be available to play online much longer either as the new one is out. but its still a great game.

TW10 is very VERY slightly improved. Dont waste your money on it. Only addition is a course and new putting method. Otherwise identical. Read the reviews...

Shame the PS3 version's £24.96. I would have gone for it at £7.99.
#5

Who wouldnt play it? I know most people are sticking with 09 as 10 isnt worth the extra investment. New people would buy 10 but plenty still play 09

LOL

I will still be playing it in 2011 best of the lot so far Excluding 10 maybe as I have not bought it nor will I just yet

TW 7 looks awful now 8 not sure I aint opened it but 9 is a very good game and looks / plays so much better than 7 (you could justify buying it) but the gap from 9 to 10 will be very small as 9 is very near perfect .. I will be gutted if they take off the Live service from 9 because of 10's release if that happens I will boycott buying EA games from now on in. Especailly as achievments are online in some cases
#10
I believe the 2 games share the online system as the courses are near identical as is the gameplay. Could be wron I guess...

If I can still play all my old Xbox games still, why wouldn't anyone be able to play Tiger Woods 09 still.

Very silly comment.

dont feed the EA coffers when you can get practically the same game for £25 less!

EA even have a course download ready to go for TW10. rip-off merchants - include it in the game FFS :w00t:

Not a silly comment when it comes to EA I'm afraid -

http://games.ea.com/information.jsp

EA insisted on not being in the MS Xbox live server ring(MS had to back down or no EA games on 360) seems EA done this so they can shut down servers whenever they please especially when it comes to them wanting you to buy the latest version of whatever game.

All other companies other than EA "are" inside of Xbox Live so no other companies online games will be shut off no matter how old they are or how many are playing (This is one of the reasons you pay for live).

On the PS3 ALL companies other than Sony released games are like EA on their own servers so they can also be shut down whenever the companies please and you can't do nothing about it because you don't pay anything for it, (and the same probably goes for third party Wii games to).

FIFA 08 on my PS3 is still runing fine :-D

I know where you are coming from but in the case of Tiger Woods, EA does seem to be playing fair. The servers for Tiger Woods 2007 edition are still up, although there are very few of us still playing that version now.

Thanks - lucky to get at £7.99 earlier today...

Same here, thanks to OP:thumbsup:

Well it came today, was anyone else's seal broken? It didn't come in the plastic packaging that new games are meant to and the new game seal thing was torn down the middle.
