A good price for these 3 greatworthy films ........

Platoon:
Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Picture (1986: Picture, Director, Editing, Sound), and based on the first-hand experience of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, Platoon is powerful, intense and starkly brutal. Harrowingly realistic and convincing. It is a dark, unforgettable memorial to every soldier whose innocence was lost in the war-torn jungles of Vietnam.

Tigerland:
Colin Farrell (Phone Booth, Hart's War) garnered a Best Actor award from the Boston Society of Film Critics for his star-making performance in this riveting, action film from acclaimed director Joel Schumacher. Just released from the base stockade, brash, charismatic recruit Roland Bozz (Farrell ) joins a platoon of young soldiers preparing to ship out to Vietnam. Bozz's independent and outright defiance draws fire from his own men as well as commanding officers who cant afford conflict in the middle of a war.

Hamburger Hill:
On the 11th May 1969, troops of the 101st airborne division engaged the enemy at the base of hill 937 in the Ashau Valley. Ten days and eleven bloody assaults later, the troops who fought there called it Hamburger Hill.

You guys should check out 9th Company - it's a Russian movie set in Afganistan

Think of a hybrid of Hamburger Hill and Full Metal Jacket

It's the most successful Russian movie to date - nothing new but a good movie none the less

9th Company?.......Sounds good, I will check it out.......America and Britian aren't the only people to make good movies. I recently saw an Indian police drama, and even though it had English subtitles ( which I normally hate) I was glued to my seat, it was fantastic.

Another film that I recently watched was called "Days of Glory" - it's about Algerian soldiers fighting in WW2 for the French - very good quality film that will leave you with a "frog" in your throat to say the least!
