Just bought a couple of bags of these at my local Morrisons. Usually just under £4 for these packs.

Best basmati rice I've tried.

I generally have this with everything.

Is it just the basmati? The basmati and wild is superb - just wonderd if that was on offer?

I expect people to disagree with me but it has been seen that the rice comes over to us on one ship and is then distributed whilst here into different suppliers bags. Therefore the rice that goes into big named brands is exactly the same rice that goes into value rice bags. Obviously you have to buy value BASMATI rice for this to be the case or of course the rice will be different.

The difference is as clear as the one between Kellogs corn flakes and own brand supermarket ones.

If Tilda isn't on offer when I've ran out and need to buy some then I get the cheap stuff and it is visibly different raw, let alone tastes different (and looks different) when cooked.

They only had the plain Basmati on offer in the store I went to. I think I read somewhere they were phasing out the kilo bags in favour of 750g bags so maybe that's why they're selling them off cheap.

U obviously have not tasted different brands of rice...

It's just not worth buying cheaper brands, and although I generally buy it in 20kg bags this is worth some heat

I love Tilda rice, but generally it is far too expensive compared to supermarket brands... and personally, whilst I know the quality of Tilda is greater, stuff like Sainsburys own basmati is perfectly fine, you just need to wash it prior to cooking.

Still... good price for Tilda!

Why would you buy overpriced Tilda basmati (even at this offer price), when you can buy, at the same store, 10kg bags of Badshah and Roshana basmati for £10.

because Tilda tastes much better and has a beautiful aroma.

Tilda overpricemati rice...
other better brands available if you look outside supermarkets.

The Tilda rice argument again! I got slated before for implying that Tilda was better than cheaper alternatives when they reduced the 10KG bags.

So I'll keep it simple.

HOT.
