Using your computer to make comments like this won't help your carbon footprint either.

Yes, because most people tend to haul a 10kg bag of rice back from the Supermarket on foot.

I think you'll find they use their very carbon-unfriendly Cars and SUVs to bring the goods home anyway, and considering the fact that Amazon use couriers, who themselves plan routes carefully to reduce fuel costs as much as possible it probably works out better than driving somewhere and getting it yourself.

Thanks for enlightening me! I just spent the entire day turning the garden into a paddy field. Fingers crossed this rice starts growing!

No they are cheaper from local stores or you can probably find at the same price.... I know you get it delivered to your door...But you have to wait all the day for the delivery, it's not worth hassle to save few penny's...

great price.never bought groceries from amazon before, but will try to buy more from them from now on.

Go to a chinese supermarket or some other 'Asian' stores, likely to be cheaper by about £2 - £5. Amazon price is still good if you compare with Tesco/any major supermarket prices though

...but definitely worth trying local places if you are willing to shop around!

4Kg Tilda bags for £6 (reduced from £8) @ Tesco
#29
Just bought 4kg of this in a resealable bag from Tesco for £6.
Take a trip around the "World Foods" aisle or whatever they call it these days.
This post is hardly a "setting the world alight" deal this is it? OK if you want it delivered I suppose.

Thanks, ordered "Badshah Basmati Rice (10 kg)" instead, great reviews and cheaper :)
#31
I'll vouch for Badshah. Really good quality.. not the most fragrant basmati, but it makes lovely pilau rice!
#32
I usually buy Badshah too. Good value & quality rice but for briani, kheer & pulao, I prefer Tilda.

BTW, 5kg & 7.5 kg still in stock
