Tilda Pure Basmati tastes like no other rice on earth - a tantalising flavour and a magical aroma. This delightful rice is so simple to prepare with its longer, whiter grains that cook up light, fluffy and separate. Basmati is a unique rice that grows only in the foothills of the Himalayas where it is watered by snowfed rivers and hand tended by dedicated farmers. We select only pure traditional Basmati and refuse to blend with inferior grains, thus guaranteeing delicious, fluffy rice.

Nice find. Thanks.
Expensive for yucky/cheap nasty rice (was £15 for just 4 KG you are kidding..lol!!!!!!!!)
try shopping in proper shops not ****** tesco
prefer thai fragance rice - buy it in chinese supermarkets like seewoo 10kg for about £10-12, cooked properly its nice, soft and tasty (basmati is hard and tasteless in comparison even if cooked properly)
max this was £8-9
no way 15 haha
basmati is expensive and this is a good deal for basmati rice its showing online i didnt make it up
Surely this must be for 10kg? If its for 4kg then i think this sucks!!!
basmati is expensive

Especially in Tesco it seems.
Just checked and price is right for 4kgs, i forgot how long its been since i bought rice from a supermarket,
I agree with Royals thai rice(perfumed rice) is full of flavour and cooks nice and easy and a better value for money, But i guess it depends on your preference
Basmati rice should be no more than £1 per kg max. Tilda is an expensive brand, is it better quality though?
I always use Tilda

Don't think so! Tastes the same as most Basmatis, i.e no discernible flavour. If you want rice with taste try Camargue Red. Not cheap but it actually has real flavour!

Not really suitable for curries though. :whistling:
here come the biriyani's

poor deal, used to be under £1/kg before food prices shot up, now able to buy 20kg bags of this for £~30 at Pakistani supermarkets. So at over £1.87/kg, this is not good value unless you hardly cook and don't want to buy 20kg sacks
just picked up two 4 k bags. I feel Tilda is the best among all Basmati rice
This rice is around £10-£12 for 10kg from a local Indian corner shop in London. At £15 you must be able to get 10kg bag not 4kg @ Tesco or any big name supermarket. Rice price is coming down, after its peak this year, just like fuel prices.
Just using the typical bait and switch of the half price discount, whereas you are still paying over the odds for this.
If you want rice in larger quantities then get yourself to a proper shop. (Think I paid about £10 for 10kg a while back, and is still going)
