Not really your cup of tea BECAUSE you're only 16?

*takes ranting stance*
How does age affect one's appreciation of good music?

Many adults don't listen to this kind of music, while a lot of teenagers I know [including myself] would jump at this bargain!!

Hence, it's not your cup of tea -simply because it isn't! And not because of your age.

Nice find though. Heat & Rep added

This is excellent for those of us who are still 16 at heart. Yes the tracks are by the original artists, and not the usual 'compilation' where tracks from by a few different artists have been shuffled to creat a 'new' selection. Neither are they a list of 'b' sides which never made it, though there are some which I've personally missed along the way.

This set has dozens of great singers and not just from one era, though all from a time when singers could really sing. There are some surprises too. I never knew that Al Jolson recorded 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' complete with recitative in the middle, just as Elvis did it many years later, but here it is. Elvis is here too though, along with many others to bring back, and to create, memories.

The set seems to have been put together by someone who wants to give people pleasure rather than rehash some old recordings for a profit. Each disc is in a cardboard sleeve with plastic retainer for the disc and the full track listing and colour printing on the outside and inside. They are contained in a sturdy cardboard storage box with a hinged lid. All very well produced and presentable.

If you've been 16, 18, 21, and want to be again, for a few minutes at least, don't be put off by the price, this is a very good buy.

I'm only sorry I didn't tell you all about it when I bought my set a few days ago. Well done Bargain Surfer and thank you for thinking of those who are now, outwardly at least, 16 and a bit!
